Tarjei Nygård is the co-owner of the Norwegian label Untz Untz Records together with Pastor. At Untz Untz he is the in-house producer and a naturally gifted dj. He is an avid record digger and sits on a imense collection of rare hip hop, funk, disco and house.

Out February 20th, the Akasha EP consists of two journeys into the vast human experiment; interactions both subtle and intimate, yet grand and profound. From the ashes of lost love to the redemption of a new journey, the LOP crew uses a palette of bold colors to paint these tales. Drawing upon imagery from the stars, tarot, symbology and their many adventures on road, they decode the mysterious exchanges and vibrations of the universe.

Akasha refers to the Akashic record, an etheric database of yore encompassing all human experience. When one accesses the record, they may see events with another's eyes throughout history. Turn up your speakers and ride through different dimensions of culture and experience. Explore the spectrum of sensation as Phill and Patrick shift between contrasting and fleeting moods.

BOF44 - Life on Planets - Surface Creature

Pete Herbert's ‘Hypnotize’ is a typically colourful and heart swelling tune with big pixelated synth stabs, glowing chords and hip swinging drums and percussion.... It’s robust and restless, with wriggling little fills and effects all making the groove bristle with life.
First up on remix duty remix, in the form of Is It Balearic? and Aficionado Recordings artist is Max Essa. He spends most weekends DJing somewhere on the planet, be that in Japan, Brazil or across Europe and counts the likes of Andrew Weatherall in his fanbase. His version is a subtle rework layering in a more round and rubbery bassline that works to prop up the colourful chords above. 
Next up is Xavier Jamaux AKA Bangbang, a French composer and producer who has made his mark as part of the band Orange. Now a solo artist who focusses on film music, his refreshing remix here is more sensuous and deep, with emotive female coos soaring above hanging chords and glistening melodies. 
Last of all, another Frenchman in Sebastien Fauvel, He has done everything from playing live percussion in stage in Queen club to penning tracks used by Sex in the City. Here he gets freaky, deconstructs the track and re-imagines it as a jumbled groove of broken beats, loose percussion and wonky synths. It’s thrilling and utterly unique.
This is another great package of disco with a real difference.
