For over 30 years, Mark Young has been playing classical guitar in the genres of baroque and romantic-era music. Since his introduction to Andres Segovia and John Williams, Mark has continually honed his craft and followed in the footsteps of Peter Lorenzo and John Tavano, two of the most preeminent classical guitar teachers in the area. 

Mark’s performances, recordings and collaborations have inspired his own original music as well as interpretations of such classical artists as Bach, Carcassi and Giuliani to name a few.  His appearances from recital halls to art galleries have entertained countless people who have an appreciation for the fine arts. 

In addition to his love of the guitar, Mark has encouraged and taught others to pick up the instrument and play what they love—be it classical, jazz or rock. The foundation of modern music comes from standing on the shoulders of those classical virtuosos who, to this day, are unparalleled in their musical creation and innovation. The timeless sound that has emanated from the classical guitar will continue to excite new generations of musicians for centuries to come.
