Rock Ptarmigan recorded at 11 pm (23.00) close to the Fagradalsfjall volcanic eruption which is hearable in the background (142). You first hear its wings flutter, then its song and faint calls.

Vulgia hace referencia a los pequeños seres que con un peso de sólo 8 gramos cruzan continentes cada primavera.

[eng] Vulgia {vulnerable salvatgia} is a composition made only with field recordings and voice. The human voice is integrated as one of the many voices of the soundscape and communicates with birds, amphibians and insects in a peaceful and transcendent journey. 

Vulgia reflects upon the little beings that weight around 8 grams and travel across continents every spring.

bEES AND BIRDS

REDWING AND SONG THRUSH DUETING IN A BLEAK PLACE
It is late morning towards noon, and a stiff breeze tears through this northern woodland.  A Redwing in the foreground seems to engage in an impromptu duet with a Song Thrush which is singing in the middle-distance.  Also vocalising in this northern concert are Cuckoo, Brambling, distant Hooded Crow, a faintly-heard Mealy Redpoll, Black Woodpecker, and Willow Warbler.  
To me, the scene conveys a sense of weary desolation.
Recorded in June 2013, using open Sennheiser MKH30/50 condensers in MS configuration, into an SD702 running at 48kHz-24Bits.

This is the song of Migaloo the White Whale recorded in 1998.

We dedicate this recording to Uncle Lewis Walker, Aboriginal elder of the Wahrlabal tribe of the Bundjalung nation of Byron Bay. Uncle Lewis is a Keeper of the Ancient Songlines of the Whales. We honour the Ancestor Spirits of Bundjalung Country. We honour Uncle Lewis's Dreaming Lineage and we honour Uncle Lewis's innate understanding of the relationship between the water, the whales, the Earth and humanity. Uncle Lewis reminds us that all Earth's creatures are our brothers and sisters.
