Khruangbin is a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. Taking influence from 1960's Thai funk - their name literally translates to "Engine Fly" in Thai - Khruangbin is steeped in the bass heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool. Khruangbin's exotic, individual sound is captured at their spiritual home, a remote barn deep in the Texas countryside where their first rehearsals took place. Debut album ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You’ is scheduled for release at the end of this year.

Les lustres brillent au dessus d'une grande table parfaitement dressée, jonchée de vins fins, alcools distillés et verdure en saladiers. 
Depuis les cuisines, le fumet des plats envahit la salle. Les portes s'ouvrent en grand, permettant aux 23 convives de rider avec style - chacun le sien - sur le parquet ciré. 
C'est un repas diplomatique, une réunion au sommet de classe européenne, avec des délégations française, belge et suisse. Au menu : crème de rappeurs francophones sur beats concoctés dans la fièvre d'une certaine urgence, tambouille de samples minimalistes. 
A la fin : dégustation en 16 morceaux. 

20 ans que j'attendais ça, du moins que j'y pensais, sans passer concrètement à l'acte... question de timing, de rencontres et de bonnes volontés. Jusqu'à pouvoir réunir cette dream team de MCs aux personnalités singulières comme je (on) les aime : talent à tous les étages. Plus qu'une simple compilation de rappeurs sur mes prods, c'est aussi mon lien personnel et intime à cette musique qui s'exprime ici. 
C'est donc accompagné de mes diplomates que je vous présente : CONNARD INVITE VOLUME 1. A consommer sans modération.
