The Remixes collection is a full-length re-imagination of "A Color Map of the Sun." Derek Vincent Smith – aka Pretty Lights – invited producers from a wide stylistic spectrum to remix the tracks from his latest album. Derek produced "A Color Map of the Sun" with no intention of having it be an album of dance floor bangers, but rather a collection of music that can be enjoyed anyplace, anytime, all the time.

These 'Remixes' are other artists’ interpretations of his compositions and self made vinyl samples. The tracks are mostly intended to be hard hitting, but they are also just very different. See the track list below for all artists involved in the Pretty Lights’ "A Color Map of the Sun Remixes."

BANG! Time for me to add a new EP to my discography! I think the following statement made by The Pirate Bay in January explains very well what #digitalfreedom is all about:
''Over a century ago Thomas Edison got the patent for a device which would "do for the eye what the phonograph does for the ear". He called it the Kinetoscope. He was not only amongst the first to record video, he was also the first person to own the copyright to a motion picture.

Because of Edison's patents for the motion pictures it was close to financially impossible to create motion pictures in the North American east coast. The movie studios therefor relocated to California, and founded what we today call Hollywood. The reason was mostly because there was no patent. Here's a short preview of my next release on UNRELEASED DIGITAL, that will be available on beatport tomorrow (May 13th). As you will hear I've tried on some Drum & Bass and DubStep sounds, but still having the progressive flavor in it, that stands for the uplifting clubby taste. 
I did a Chris Reece remix to the package which takes the bigroom progressive house direction and works out the more melodic textures of the original.
