Musician, an improviser, composer, sound artist (born in 1974 in Warsaw). He is currently a
half of SzaZa duo, where he plays the violin, modular synthesizer and electric mbira. In audiovisual
Normal Bias he takes up archaic electronic music, changes old musical boxes? tunes and also leads Zakład Produkcji Dźwięku which leatest activity is Gabinet Ucha Wewnętrznego (The Inner Ear Massage Parlour). He is active in several areas – chamber music, electroacoustic music and auditions in wide comprehension. He had performed with many outstanding artists: Fred Frith, Noel Akchote, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Mitch and Mitch, Franz Hauzinger, Koichi Makigami and many magnificent others. He has published 11 albums and he is an author of music for theatrical performances, documentary, silent and short-feature films. Among these there are student’s etudes by Roman Polański and puppet animations made by Władysław Starewicz. Author’s soundtrack which was written for these images has been presented in United States, France, Norway, Iceland and Uruguay, China and Japan as well. He run concerts from the cycle “Galimadjaz’, he was co-author of ‘Inwazje dźwięku’ in Zachęta National Gallery of Art and an initiator and curator of Sound Cinema during European Culture Congress 2011. Music of Patryk Zakrocki has been repeatedly prized and honoured what has given him shameless pleasure every single time.
