All too aware that good things come in pairs, the Dutch duo 16BL (formally known as 16 Bit Lolitas) kick off their 2019 with their delectable double-cut ‘Vette / Leaving Home’. The Balearic-flavoured ‘Vette’ cleverly combines romantic string scores and tropical guitar strums with deep stuttered synths. Taking things deeper and darker, ‘Leaving Home’ sees 16BL bounce sporadic snares off of a swelling sub-bass, culminating in a club track awash with their signature organic sound.
