no pun intended but it does seem like it's missing something

writer's note: "ok so do yall remember being like 10, 11 and it's a summer night. and there's fireflies and you've finally had the chance to go out and mess around and you're with your best friends of the time and everything just seems surreal if not even real at all but you're having a wonderful time and you've forgotten about all of your worries because you're just having so much fun and you're really getting into it. but eventually yknow. you have to go to bed eventually. and it's a little sad. but you go to bed, content. knowing you had fun. you're absolutely positively happily pooped. and you know, you could even be playing with the neighbor kids, who cares. the grass is cool, maybe a little damp, and you can feel it on your feet because you're wearing some kind of sandals or flip flops, running around the yard. and when you go to bed, absolutely positively happily pooped, you might have some dry sweat on your face, but you don't really care and realize because you're just a kid and you're so tired. in the part w the vibes and everything, you kind of---forget, all about the rest of the song that came before it, and that's what happen when you're a kid too in this situation; you're having so much fun now you can't think about just stepping outside from the cool house, the light of the kitchen. you're having fun, and you don't have to worry about that."

features impressionistic piano with long, questioning, nostalgic chords at play, that give way to a bright and exciting, playful, yet still mysterious midsection with many voices, that breaks suddenly into a soft, sad, end-of-day realization; this piece represents the childhood experience of a summer's night from your youth. i have a vivid memory of having no care one night, playing with friends because we wanted to go catch fireflies---we were just running all over the yard. there's something so exciting, and sweet, and innocent about it that we don't get to experience as adults, typically. not in this way, at least. this is probably written for my music app. final project where i look at impressionism, and my experience with it as it's the best way to describe both how i write music and how i view music; music is an art, a form of storytelling---a way to convey an idea, whether abstract or concrete.

Merry Christmas gangstas 

This is such a sweet medley, lots of fun to cover. From the moment I started making usts I've wanted to do a medley(but the projects usually crashed and burnt), so for me this represents an accumulation of what I've worked so endlessly on over the years - and haven't we all! UTAU is such a time-consuming hobby. On that note, this cover also represents a momentary pause. Sadly I don't foresee a great amount of free time in store for me next year and with final exams on the horizon, it's probably best to limit the distractions.
