exploring bernard purdie's drumwork, mostly his killing halfnotes, i dreamt of bringing john bonham's "fool in the rain" shuffle into orhan gencebay's "ben doğarken ölmüşüm". i was ready to tear up both tracks but none was needed. all the half met and fit perfectly into a solid one, only with a slight shift.

Four Tet - Moma

Very sad to hear that the French musican and producer Jef Gilson passed away today at the age of 86.  Here is a tribute that I made to him back in 2004... the track is built from samples of his music and productions on his label Palm.
