It was long I lay
Awake that night
Wishing the tower
Would name the hour
And tell me whether
To call it day
(Though not yet light)
And give up sleep.
The snow fell deep
With the hiss of spray;
Two winds would meet,
One down one street,
One down another,
And fight in a smother
Of dust and feather.

I could not say,
But feared the cold
Had checked the pace
Of the tower clock
By tying together
Its hands of gold
Before its face.

Then came one knock!
A note unruffled
Of earthly weather,
Though strange and muffled.
The tower said, “One!”
And then a steeple.
They spoke to themselves
And such few people
As winds might rouse
From sleeping warm
(But not unhouse).
They left the storm
That struck en masse
My window glass
Like a beaded fur.

Vào tháng 6 năm 2003, Mỹ Tâm tiếp tục cho phát hành album Yesterday & Now (tựa tiếng Việt: Ngày ấy & Bây giờ), gồm nhiều bài hát lại và các sáng tác mới của Trần Huân (“Họa mi tóc nâu”), Võ Thiện Thanh (“Ước gì”) và Lê Quang (“Niềm tin chiến thắng”).

Đến nay, album này vẫn được xem là một trong những đĩa thu âm có lượng tiêu thụ cao nhất tại thị trường âm nhạc Việt Nam, khi đã vượt ngưỡng 68.000 đĩa, tính đến đầu tháng 3 năm 2005. Bài hát “Ước gì” trích từ album mang về giải “Nữ ca sĩ được yêu thích nhất” tại giải Mai Vàng lần IX và giải Làn Sóng Xanh cho “Nhạc sĩ có ca khúc được yêu thích nhất” thuộc về tác giả Võ Thiện Thanh; “Niềm tin chiến thắng” là một trong các sáng tác ca khúc cổ vũ thể thao xuất hiện trong Đại hội Thể thao Đông Nam Á 2003, sau đó được hãng Pepsi chuyển nhượng lại làm nhạc hiệu quảng cáo cổ vũ cho đội tuyển Việt Nam; và “Họa mi tóc nâu” đem về cho tác giả Trần Huân giải “Nhạc sĩ có ca khúc được yêu thích nhất” tại lễ trao giải Làn Sóng Xanh năm 2003. Trong cùng một hạng mục giải thưởng, Mỹ Tâm còn đem về cho nhạc sĩ Võ Thiện Thanh giải “Nhạc sĩ có ca khúc được yêu thích nhất” với nhạc phẩm “Xích lô” được bổ sung trong phiên bản VCD tái phát hành của Mãi yêu vào tháng 7 năm 2003; và một giải nữa cho “Ca sĩ được yêu thích nhất”. Kết thúc năm 2003, Mỹ Tâm còn mang về giải “Ca sĩ được yêu thích nhất” do Vietnamnet bình chọn, giải “Trái Tim Việt Nam” và giải “Ngôi sao bạch kim – Nữ ca sĩ được yêu thích nhất năm” của báo Màn Ảnh Sân Khấu tổ chức bình chọn.
