“Subsistence” is what you get when you throw two high school best friends in a sensory deprivation room, pump in ‘90s grunge and ‘00s alt, dump them out after 10 years, then tell them to pretend they’re the 1975. It’s a summer bop born of teenage romance, marinated in a decade of nostalgia and cooked on low heat.

“Subsistence” is what-is and what-was, wrestling in a kiddie pool full of glitter off a $2 bet. It’s our way of time traveling, capturing a moment that wanted to live.

It’s us now and then sorted through the lost and found. Perfect for alt-pop and indie nostalgia playlists recapturing a first kiss, it’s the sort of thing you both lose sleep over and beg for more of.

“Subsistence” is you and your best friend reminiscing about the good ol’ days, then realizing you’re in them.
