Tales Of A Barfly.

 I can’t lip, a meaningless cotton mouth. I got to push those blues away.
Can’t cop a handful of far out.  Psychedelia, come out and play. 
I won’t drop, been down a week or three. Faked a sneeze for a sincere bless you.
Won’t stop to imitate a pleasant smile. Mona Bone come here my way.

   Nasty chicks, pink on the inside. Warm to cold, The facades they play.
Giant man, small on the outside, lives to give his nothing’s away.
Poor is hip, but she cries by the window. Organize a melancholy day.
Mama says, eat you’re not healthy. See me blush, I’ve got nothing to say.

Can’t spit clever words from my mouth. I have  got to find me a muse someday.
I can’t flip, I’m already really out, liquid courage nods the way.
Won’t flop, overwhelmed and strung out, in a rut or in the grave.
Won’t stop, I greet the world with a frown, Barfly at the top of his game.

Dirty Dicks, thinking up new laws.  Are we the peeps or Gent’s or slave’s?
Yuppie pricks, living some cliché, a fairies tale that won’t go away.
This Bitch is lit to pop on the outside. Humanity declines, freedom decayed. 

DID YOU HEED THE BAD NEWS? WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!
 SO DRINK UP ALL THAT MOONSHINE,IT IS NEARLY TIME…

We met at ten in the evening, in the lounge till’ three.
We talked about how things just aren’t; we talked about how things should be.
It’s a little unnerving, grazing cows, as happy as can be.
It’s a little pathetic, take from you, while you steal from me’
I should have split; I was wheezy, corn whiskey, and the jazz man’s tea.


I found myself in the morning, still cradled in a ditch.
It didn’t skew my views too much. Life is still an overrated bitch.
I felt a little uneasy. Conversation; doesn’t change a thing!!!
A Revolution is calling.  Do you feel the sting of poverty?
