I was unaware of these productions. I have listened to them like the soundtrack of a silent film... What I like here: the drama seems to predominate over the terror. And the Kronos Quartet is perfect (I also recommend to those who don't know it: the record 'Sun Rings' by Terry Riley).

This is an excerpt from a 12 minute piece.   
For the synthgeeks, the multiple MC-202 sequences were tape-synced and all JP-8 tracks were individually performed onto an old Tascam 1/2" eight track tape deck.
