Sobantwana is a rising from the valley of a thousand hills in a little town of Tsolo in the former Transkei. Her music is a fusion of eclectic soul, jazz & with her strong traditional African harmonies you can easily understand where her strong voice comes from. 

With influences like Miriam Makeba, Busi Mhlongo, Madosini & Brenda Fassie to name but a few one can easily put her in the same bracket as the legends. With her energetic stage presence and her ability to turn heads, she is a true performer to note. With her strong sense of cultural rooting and high intellect of Pan Africanist ideologies it's easy to understand her plea. 
Wa Azania describes her music as a voice to those who want to heard, where she tackles daily struggles of humanity through her soul piercing lyrics.
