The three musical features that stand out in my song “Brand New” are instrumentation, form, and rhythm. The instrumentation throughout the song includes guitar (slide, electric, and acoustic), drums, and bass. The slide guitar really helps the song lean more country even though the lyrics have a more pop style. The form throughout the song is verse/chorus/verse/chorus/- bridge/chorus, a very common form that is used in modern day pop/country songs. The tagline is stated at the end of the chorus, repeating a couple of times. The rhythm throughout the song has a 4/4 beat 1-2 pattern similar to the Nashville sound.
