Something About Settler Colonialism, the debut release by KØBA DØBA (aka Mr. Babadook), is a bold foray into dark psytrance/psycore, marked by its abstract, experimental sound that defies genre conventions. 

With a unique blend of polyrhythmic tribal percussion, glitchy drone elements, and eroded textures, this release oscillates between slambient and ethnocore, occasionally introducing subtle hints of jazz, creating an immersive, psychedelic experience. This rich and dynamic tapestry of layered soundscapes is used by KØBA DØBA to explore and confront themes such as settler colonialism, surveillance, and social responsibility.

The album opens with "Drone(s) Over Khan-Younis", a haunting reflection on the experience of living under relentless military surveillance. This is followed by "Sikiyn Yuqasim Al-Quds" (A Knife Divides Jerusalem), a stark portrayal of a society fractured by settler violence. Entangled in the mystery of silicon patches, Oviru Eyro tells the story of sonic organisms transcending diapasons across parageographic scapes. An expanding dance floor fantasy, its ephemeral rhythmic structures shake newly born paradigms, awakening a hypnotic, ontological journey of self-exploration. 
Directed inward, the voyage begins with Oviru and concludes in Eyro, completing a 10-track arc with perfectly measured, circular form. Groovy yet abstract, the release casts new meridians from its pulsating bass core, drawing listeners into a space of distant familiarity - eventually dissolving in the deep-processed palette of its own sound.

In 2004, he was shocked by psychedelic trance and started organizing activities and DJing in Japan with his friends in 2006. In 2007, he performed in Japan for the first time with "ORESTIS". Since then, he has performed with top domestic and international artists. After that, activities will be suspended for 10 years, but activities will resume again in 2022. In 2023 he will become a label DJ for triplag music.
I am currently exploring the essence of Psychedelic, with the goal of expressing my feelings of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness through sound and trance, making use of my experience of trancing with sound!
