025 - No other mix CD out has made me want to wake up to it as much as this one. Think slowly rising from a dream/hangover with the best sound possible and that's about it. Both discs on Sasha & Digweed's Northern Exposure open with absolutely gorgeous tracks, Gus Gus's 'Believe' being an example of this. Furry Phreak's 'Soothe (Chicane Jazz)' dives deeper into the sound before the cd moves on to intelligent breaks, early trance and climaxes in what must be one of the most beautiful electronic tracks ever made... Hybrid's Symphony. This isn't just music you would wake up too, it's so good, you'd probably happily die to it as well. Another CD which raises the bar and takes it's own thrown on the Classic Mix CD series, and a fine choice for our quarter century episode. Turn it up... and enjoy the mix.

Lele Sacchi - The Garden - August 17th @ DC10

For Occult it all started in late November 2014, Nathan, Harri & Dan each had a small residency at a club called Zeus Reading. Each of them captured a lot of attention with their unique melodic & deep style, the people wanted to see more of the three. All individually taking bookings & playing solo around the country until about July 2015.

In July 2015 the three met up and discussed playing together & starting their own Live Sets. They went ahead with forming the musical Trio and went by the unique name OCCULT. Their weird & wonderful sound is what captures the minds of the crowd. Bringing dark, emotional but groovy vibes to the dance floor, the trio are not going unnoticed. They have gained recognition from some of the best promotors & DJs in the country, in just 6 months the trio locked down 38 Bookings & 2 Ibiza dates in 2015.

With a diary full of bookings, UK & Ibiza, 2016 is set to be a breakthrough year for the trio, not only with bookings is 2016 going to be packed but they have their debut EP set to come out in the coming weeks, which has gained attention from multiple labels.

Purely In Love with the music they play the musical partnership is set to be around for a while.

Spotlight Mix:  Occult

I'm happy to finally release my first extended set with you, recorded at StereoBar in Montreal. StereoBar is a club that's quickly jumped onto my shortlist of favorite venues in the world. Beyond the nailing the club fundamentals (sound system, layout, lighting, staff), they feature the "All Night" series where one DJ plays as opener, headliner, and closer. I love this format since it gives me the opportunity to build the energy from scratch and take the night in any direction without constraints.

But more importantly, I get to play for one of the most enthusiastic, supportive crowds that I've ever encountered. The energy from this night was the strongest I've felt in quite some time, certainly my best gig of the last year. Almost everything I threw out there worked, which actually makes me think that I might not have worked hard enough. There are many more sonic landscapes I'd love to explore, so hopefully I can come back again soon and we can take another journey in that special room...
