This song is a Shengcity Crhymez REMIX to an original song that goes by the Middle Class Love title which was recorded in 2010 and RE-MASTERED in 2021.It tells the story of a young rapper/lyricist who was DEARLY in love with a young lady from his neighborhood Nairobi Satellite.The lady’s family ended up moving to the LA neighborhood(Langata) in the Southside of Nairobi just as she was about to hit the ‘end mark’ of her teenage years.It was perhaps a CRUSH though.On the contrary this young lady was a GOLD-DIGGER to the BONE hence nothing else seemed to please her if it wasn’t material or MONETARY.She believed that she couldn’t date young men her  age because they were either poor or were not man enough to provide for her well hence being in the company of sugar daddies and caucasian men.

As such,she argued that women matured faster in terms of growth, and a boy who was 19 years would not be mature enough to date or marry a woman of the same age.

Moreover ,she insisted that women required STABLE men who could TAKE CARE of them and LEAD them well.Taking cognizance of that,she stressed that
women would look for already established men(older rich men/rich married men) who were like their father, which made sure that they were wired to someone who was a PROVIDER in that only a few men their age were providers as most of them were out in the clubs drinking,smoking and partying.

In retrospect,she was a firm believer that CAPITAL did take the place of LOVE and being engulfed in MIDDLE CLASS LOVE was the only way to emotional and FINANCIAL SATISFACTION however IMMORAL it was.As the term MIDDLE CLASS class postulates,she lived a life financially INDEPENDENT of the state until she BREATHED her last.She was DIAGNOSED with CANCER which I believe made her VALUE everyone as the world doesn’t just revolve around the RICH men as money can NEVER buy you a PEACE of mind.

That Finish Line verse is one of my favorite verses of all time.I vividly remember recording it at a less known hood studio(Jos n Flo)on a different beat.K-dawg later set aside the original beat and replaced it with a violin instrumental about the same time most of the fam. dropped their verses.Both beats were banging but the one he settled on nurtured a CLASSIC!
