Live recording of my 3am-4:30am set from Brit's That 90's Black Light Rave party (tough transitions and all lol)!  This is an all vinyl 90s throw-back set of song I remember from when I first started raving in 1993. All records pulled for this set were produced in the early 90s (with the newest release date of 1995) for that authentic 90s rave feel! I start things out with early (1990-1992) UK Hardcore and then progressing into songs (from 1993-1995) that were super popular at raves back in the day! Hope you enjoy!

Our favourite Dutchman, Dave Mayer makes a welcome return to Bobbin Head Music with a new collaboration 'All Your Secrets' with label boss Husky. Groovy deep house music is the vibe here, with Dave & Husky layering warm pads, synth stabs and uplifting melodies to create an energetic dance floor roller.

A deluxe disco flip from Husky pulls back the tempo and adds in some lush disco strings and a bass/piano groove that's sure to get the hips moving.

Aimée Lauren, 1/3 of RVA’s ButterCo and represented by MK2am A&R (SF/NY/EU/DMV/IT) is not kidding when she says shut up and dance. Her signature sound is a driving beat that blends Detroit techno, NYC house, and West Coast acid into a groove designed to get you out of your head and onto the dance floor. 

Returning from Istanbul and Barcelona you can Catch her in RVA with Anomalis Radio, late nights with The Party Liberation Foundation at RVA Create Space, and sharing the decks at The Jungle Room. 

With all of her years behind the decks: making people dance  has always been priority number one. 

“I’ve always been competitive; so much of my industry is dominated by men/ actually all of this industry is/ I am just 1 woman of the maybe 2-3% of women who are still in it and we are all competing against men; it is very much just a mirror of life for women in many industries; you have to be willing to compete: at some point on some level it is just a fact: so it was only logical that I would level up and start producing”.
Which lead to the recent launch of New Lows Studios which will soon release the upcoming EP titled 
Star Minor ; A tribute to Jesse Pruitt.

As Aimée says, 'Having the freedom to dance is a gift. Embrace it. Music is a gift. Share it. Meet me on the dance floor. And please: shut up and dance.'
