Like most of my edits this track started life as A DJ Tool I was creating to use when playing the original of this classic.
It is made up of samples of 2 different remixes of the original and my edit is a homage to the days when DJs would often buy 2 copies of a 12" so that they could mix the different mixes of the track to create their own unique sound.

Finally - Kings Of Tomorrow (House Meanz House 4AM Dub)

This was one of my favourite tracks from last year, the production is immense with real session musicians and Kimberley Davis providing the killer vocals. When I was working on this edit I began to truly appreciate the work that had went into the strings and horns, which I tried my best to hold on to.
Getting this Edit past Soundcloud was a bit of a challenge in its self and the edit you hear is about the 10th version, there is another version with more of the original chorus and vocals if you fancy a copy pm me and I'll email you a copy.

Life Is A Dancefloor - Shapeshifters (House Meanz House Clear The Floor Dub)

I can remember this track being a big tune back in late 80s but didn't realise that it went UK Top 20. The original was produced by the legendary Blaze with the dream team of Frankie Knuckles and David Morales teaming up for the "One Mix" remix. 
Before tackling this remix I had the usual search round the internet for bootlegs and remixes of this track and was surprised by how little had been done. I recently heard Michael Grays remix on his Glitterbox stream and there's a great wee film on his Facebook page showing how he literally started from scratch creating his remix, when I started mine I realised why. The track is very busy in that there is very little you can cut out and use for remix purposes, there's no real vocal breakdown that you would normally find on a big vocal track and there is loads of percussion and snare drums throughout the track. Hopefully though with a bit of patience and EQ'ing I've got enough out of it to do a decent job on this.

Obviously super famous track from back in the day featuring the awesome vocal talents of Duane Harden released during a time when when house music was really ruling the world.

Originally out on Strictly Rhythm though I definitely remembering it being one of the earlier Defected Releases in the UK back in 1999 just after they dropped the massive 'Can't Get Enough' by Soul Searcher.

Original version was produced by Lenny Fontana no less, with a remix by the prolific Full Intention and of course contained that famous disco loop sampled from Thelma Houston's - I'm Here Again.

Thought I'd switch things up with a slightly grittier take though I certainly recommend checking out the original if you're looking for some feel good peak time ammo!

Powerhouse Ft. Duane Harden - I've Got What You Need (Funk Edwards 2020 Remix)

The original with its huge soaring vocals is such a big hands in the air anthem. I used to love when tracks like this came out in the early 90s on 12" there would always be dub mixes which tended to be bit darker and edgy.  David Morales and Roger Sanchez used to be masters at these and a lot of the time I used to prefer the dubs to the original anthem style mix. 
This is my attempt at replicating one of those early 90s dubs using just the original track and a accapella. Hope you enjoy x

Can't Get Enough - Soulsearcher (HMH Just Say No Dub)

Another David Morales remix classic from the early 90's back when he was probably at the top of his game creatively. The Def Classic Mix is so bursting with ideas that it's practically 3 different tracks in one. I've tried to use the superb outro section of the track which due to the length of the track was not often not heard in clubs or mixes and use it as the foundation for my remix.
