This is an old post from a super old set, but does anyone know the track that drops in at 6:54 — gritty on top of a PE loop that got used a lot with an occasional chorus: “the power punch that beats the bunch” — I was in this scene in the Bay Area in the early 90s and this track has literally been in the back of my mind for 30 years. Anyone know what it is?

The entire first four minutes of this mix is profound, but 2:00-2:10 is the crescendo...so many people miss this...its why we (those of us who realized this) eventually said "The music is the drug".  I love that the track is brave enough to challenge the notion that using psychedelics expands your mind...even if it does, the point is well made, that without being able to express yourself creatively, what is the point?  Oh, and the music, of course, is fantastic ;-)
