Thievery Corporation have grown very strong roots in the Rivera Maya over the years, but have never had a chance to play a liveshow in the area. DAY ZERO is proud to be presenting the first live show in Playa del Carmen with Thievery Corporation.   

"This is a mix of some of my favorite tripped out, orchestral, brazilian/latin, and cinematic music from the past, way before the current electronic music explosion. There’s many beautiful gems from all corners of the globe, these are the kinds of sounds that inspired Eric and myself when we started Thievery Corporation. Traveling to DJ over new years in Brazil was an amazing experience. Missing Breakfast of Champions and not being around my close loved ones was not the easiest call to make. I'm so thankful to have met so many very fun and awesome people even though I could barely speak a word of Portuguese. A big thank you to Ricardo and Fred from the Peninsula Beach Club Hotel booking me as their resident DJ. Hello Friends, 

I started working on this house/disco/funk mix earlier in the month and was going to release it for Valentine's Day. But then 17 kids were murdered by an unhinged teen wielding an AR-15 at Stoneman Douglas HS in Florida. 

After my BoC set, I'd been listening to these groovy, fun, funky, and optimistic housey tracks and decided mix them. But after FL, I considered deleting the set. Over the last few days the children & families from that HS began talking passionately about change and I got a little more hopeful and optimistic. Maybe you did, too. So with that in mind, here's my mix for Feb.

At the age of 12 he began his passion for electronic music; he love music genres like Progressive House and Techno, following and admiring British underground panorama icons like Sasha, Jonh Digweed & Nick Warren.
At the age of 18/20, the first experiences began in various locations in the Lucchese house scene.
A few years after his attention shifted to podcasts by collaborating with many radio stations, the first radio stations were PURE.FM & FRISKY RADIO.
After a few years of distance from the house scene, he is now ready to come back.
His show is called MY DIMENSION and contains several house genres: Deep House - Progressive - Tech House - Techno - Electronics.
