This is a recording of my set during the last Initiative events of the summer courtesy of Miss Chachou and their trusty iPad!

This one came from the heart, the energy I felt when playing for everyone was absolutely amazing.  Mazuu had just brought up the energy and handed off the decks to me.  By the time I was done, I got to hand it off to Lucci.  In between, I think I played one of my best sets.  

Shoutouts to my Gas-X crew and the Initiative fam for your infinite support.  It means the world to me and I wouldn't be where I am without y'all.  I can't wait to go to Berlin with everyone in the future.  

Also special thanks to Jay Di for my first ever mic shout-out during a public event.  I feel like a super star already.

With AndThen’s first-ever release under this new alias hitting the Beatport Top 20, this new EP of his is set continue that pace

AndThen has used this ‘Strange Time’ we are all in productively by relaunching his music career and starting AndThen only 6 months ago. Already he has tickled the top 20 Beatport releases and he continues with his production prowess here.

Luke (his real name!) has been around in many forms since the mid 90s but has now found his home producing house and tech house with driving groove percussive elements, under his newly coined moniker ’AndThen’. This release on Brazilian label @priceincorrect is exactly that!

Track 1, "Strange Times" is a deep groover that has some amazing percussive elements that adds to the energy, whilst the twisted vocal talks about the Strange Times we are in. For those that remember them, this track defiantly has the feel of a Peace Division track of old.

Track 2 on the EP "Tell Me" is a slightly different affair. Yes, it has the percussive grove that runs through AndThen’s productions and sets but has a nice vocal stab running through it which is complemented by a 303 sounding synth. Which is a nod to his musical past.

What’s up LAMP fam! We have a great new track for you today coming from a rising talent edetto. Hailing from Bristol, edetto is someone we will definitely be watching closely. Having gained the attention of his fellow Bristolian and Ei8ht co-owner Eats Everything we are all in for this one. A four track EP ‘Hustler’ is a percussive driven album and every single one of these tracks hits. You can pick up the album on Friday the 26th of February. As I mentioned before this whole ep is the business. ‘Two Toads’ stood out to me for several reasons.  I absolutely love the plucky synth line that is introduced from the onset and drives throughout the vast majority of the track. When I say drives I mean this track kicks hard. An absolutely massive kick pushes this track into another dimension entirely. I’m huge fan of the clap and all of the other groove elements that really keep this track flowing. The thing that tops everything off are the two vocal samples that surely give into the title of the track as they totally sound like two toads having a bit of a back and forth with each other. One big toad and one little toad is exactly what I see in my head. I am really excited to hear more from this up and coming artist. In the meantime I will also be checking out his radio show Reprezent Radio.
