On Saturday 14th of December our Subculture residents Harri & Domenic, descended onto Rinse FM headquarters and took over the station from midnight for two hours.

Just shy of 20 years on, Subculture, with Harri and Domenic still at the helm, is the longest running weekly House night in the U.K. and very possibly worldwide. Subculture has hosted the cream of international House DJs and has a reputation as one of the best and most credible House nights in the world.

In more recent years Harri & Domenic have appeared on some massive festival lineups at Unknown, Stop Making Sense, T in The Park, Rock Ness and in 2013 they hosted their own pod as party of the Red Bull Revolutions in sound event on the London Eye.

Currently Harri & Domenic are working on new material in the studio with long term cohort Graeme Clark AKA “The Revenge” engineering the sessions. The result of this will be the duo releasing original work as ‘Subculture’ for the first time in their 2 decades together. Harri & Domenic are also both independently working on a series of one-off edits, with release dates planned for early 2014.

I wanted to keep the spirit of the original track but shape it with my own touch, grooving basslines, crisp drums and a darker vibe made with the Ibiza dancefloor in mind.
