Fabio Florido recruits an all-star cast of remixers for the latest release on Runa.

Based in Berlin, Fabio Florido is a DJ/producer who has previously released on the likes of Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 and runs his own Run a imprint. Returning to his own label this July, Florido invites Luigi Tozzi, Exos,Amotik, Danny Wabbit, Edgar de Ramon, Insolate, Arthur Robert and Marsch to remix records from his impressive back catalogue on a brand new compilation, yielding thrilling results.

“It's been a little over two and a half years since the launch of my label, Runa. Each release carried a story, a message, or an intention that I wanted to share with those who, like me, were "confined" at home. Thesena rratives were inspired by the mood of the EP, its title, or events happening while I was crafting it.

We are all shaped by experiences accumulated over the past years, which we now apply to our new lives, clubs, and music. So, I invited eight of my favourite artists to remix or reinterpret eight of my tracks, all composed during the pandemic. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Jean Terechkova biographie :

Danseuse classique avant de débuter sa carrière de DJ, Jean Terechkova cultive les métamorphoses fertiles, à l’image de son nom de scène, addition d’un surnom masculin de longue date et d’un hommage à la première femme cosmonaute.
Même si son cœur bat au rythme de la techno industrielle, elle va rapidement élargir son spectre musical vers les sonorités rave des années 90, acid, hardcore, poussant jusqu’au frapcore et autres formes de hard dance.

Ses sets mélangent habilement des melodies aux kicks dévastateurs, et cherchent, au-delà de la violence, une poésie au-delà de la brutalité.

We're proud to present our very first EP, at the crossroads of our aspirations : a groovy progressive techno house goa-bassline chemistry.

We chose 'Sexy Cruise' to introduce the EP, because it represents us so much. The track is a musical voyage in which we sought to blend multiple inspirations, drawing on the originality provided by guitar and saxophone coupled with a driving bass line.

Then comes 'Club Culture', aptly named. We wanted to articulate the track so that it embraced the vocals, while maintaining an irresistible groove rhythm thanks to a spacialized, crunchy bass line that perfectly matches the non-stop drums.

'Unwort Cuts' is the perfect conclusion to this EP. For us, this is the definition we want to give to the progressive groove we compose, with a musicality rich in instruments, integrating numerous elements that tickle the eardrums, a perfect chemical reaction thanks to its rhythmic structure.


The “Breakin Rules” project hides a name implied through the artwork, “Strip at the museum”, a phrase that could evoke a contrasting image between classical art and the idea of “strip” (dismantling, stripping or dancing). This could suggest a provocative or ironic juxtaposition, where we associate the idea of a museum, a place traditionally dedicated to culture and art, with something more daring, even daring, like a striptease. This contrast could also invite reflection on how art is perceived or presented in different contexts, or on the evolution of cultural norms.
