Atomchild

This piece is something that rattled around in my head after watching the french version of "The Returned" I loved the haunting soundtrack in that show, I just had to go and make it into what I wanted it to sound more like.

The Waters - Music Only

-Earth resonantes at around 7.8 Hz give or take, depending on plate tectonics and electromagnetic solar radiation. 
-Hydrogen atoms, being more ubiquitous than any atom ever, resonate at about 42,580,000 Hz.
-The human body supposedly has a resonant frequency of 5 to 10 Hz depending on who you ask. This is also the frequency of the fictional brown note. Most sources will say this is well below the human hearing range and they're technically right but if you want to experience such a frequency in real life, (you probably already have) just roll the back window of your car down and drive down the highway and you'll hear the car play itself like a woodwind instrument at around 5 or 10 Hz.
-The human eyeball resonant frequency is around 18 hz. Things vibrating near that frequency have been reported to produce artifacts, see Vic Tandy's co-workers reporting ghosts in the lab, skeptical as he was, he too began to see things in his periphery... Only to discover a fan in the room that was emitting a frequency at 18.98 hz. When they took away the fan the "ghosts" went away too.
-The first dominante frequency in this song comes in at 916 Hz, then 816 Hz, then 728 Hz which is 13 x 2 to the 3rd power (104) times the human brain resonant frequency of about 7 Hz, then 686 Hz and then rests and resonates at 576 Hz which is 2 to the 5th power (32) times the human eyeball resonant frequency of about 18 Hz, so close your eyes and try to picture some things. None of those frequencies resonate with the 50 or 60 hz hum that's in electric currents on power grids so you won't be getting any interference. Good luck with that. It doesn't work for myself as rhythm - object synesthesia gets in the way for me, but if you're a believer you might just start trippin. Just make sure you're not trippin armed with some kind of maniacal belief in pseudoscience and placebo.
-That reminds me, coincidentally A4 is tuned to 432 Hz in this song, but I'm telling you, That's completely arbitrary. People claiming that such a frequency has magical properties are just crazy and are forgetting one huge thing: Hertz is based on cycles per *second*, which is a made up unit of time sectioned off as a portion of a 24 hour solar day for convenience, and an actual second has nothing to do with the universe, atoms, a sidereal day or resonant frequencies of the human body or the earth itself and if there were a such thing as a magical frequency that healed people, it would most certianly not be represented in Hertz by a whole number.
-If I've learned anything from acoustic study and psychology, low to mid frequencies (5Hz to 1000 Hz) affect people more than high frequencies, yes obvioulsy fingernails down a chalkboard and similar noises bounce around in our ear canals and wreak all kinds of resonant havoc on our hearing, but our bodies as a whole respond more to lower frequencies. Everyone reacts differently to different frequencies and there is no universal frequency effect. However, many cases of multiple people experiencing anomalous phenomena as a group center around electromagnetic and/or acoustic frequencies, see the American embassy workers in Havana and China and the microwave weapon antagonism. I didn't believe it at first but astonishingly enough, it's looking more and more true. People as a group adhere to a shared mode of brainwave activity when hearing the same sound, see the entire history of music made by humans ever.
-Shared psychosis, although rare is fascinating and rarely studied. I wonder, does audio and electromagnetic frequencies have anything to do with some of those cases? Maybe, maybe not, who knows. But I think it plays a role in some cases. Electroencephalographic alpha and delta frequency activity differentiates psychotic disorders. There's a lot to discover yet, and I for one, can't wait to learn more.

Shared Psychosis - Piano v. 3

This is the 23rd Iteration of this melody. I think this one is worth posting. It is a dive into complexity, melodic harmonics and making dissonance work to come out feeling simple enough to handle, just like real life for me. Hope you enjoy it!

Climbing in the Face of Dread

This song is based on an old commodore 64 game. The melody was originally written by Stephan Uram. It cuts off abruptly at the end because THIS IS AN UNFINISHED TRACK, and I compose songs on the fly, so sorry bout the cutoff.
Anyway, The drums in this one were originally called Samurai. I have the the original drum track lying around somewhere in my computer.

Atomchild - Pinz

This is my entry for the Teknofonic Challenge. It's an unreleased track which showcases some examples of my style. I create my songs in a single track waveform editor on the fly using exports of VST synthesizer layers from Renoise, FL Studio, and other trackers. All my drums and effects samples are my own creation, recorded and rendered with care in the wave editor as I feel they deserve to be. This is my first Soundcloud upload under my own name, My other Soundcloud work is under Atomchild.
