Biography

"Read That" he's flatmate said – and then the sound of the A4 lever arch, thick manual slamming on the floor of the one bedroomed flat we lived in in 1996. The monotone sound resounds in my head as I remember sitting there listening to Joseph Campbell (aka "JoeTech") teaching himself, for months on end, how to use the Cubase music programme. He had begged his flatmate to teach him how, but the only way was through that Manual.



He did it. Taught himself and made that the basis for beginning to independently write music. Over the years, JoeTech basically composed music day and night until perfection. Churning out tune after tune – first of all void of lyrics, just slamming tunes pumping out, until he was a master at his craft. Over the years JoeTech (he chose this name because of his technical ability, coming from working as an electronics engineer for the Great Lord Sugar) played at various outlets in London and became very popular in the , House & Garage scene, becoming quite well known.
