It’s around 25 years since the only track I made that anyone ever cared about was released :D To celebrate, here is an alternative version. This is the story: DJ Lauren Laverne has a long-running show on BBC Radio 6 Music. She played “Rewind” once in 2009 and once again about five years later, if I recall correctly. As you might expect, at this stage in the game, being played on a national radio station causes much excitement in the Cylob household. So imagine my reaction when she tweeted my artist name three years ago. Convinced that this meant another outing for my little song, I sprinted to the Cylob Sonic Research Facility in order to make a special jingle version to celebrate. Convulsed with enthusiasm, I emailed her 6 Music mailbox with a link to the track. But I never heard anything back :'(. Maybe it ended up in their spam bin, who knows. And to the best of my knowledge, my track didn’t get played again either lol. It was a fun weekend project to dig up the old speech synthesis apps and give them another outing anyway. So enjoy this alt version with your chocolate eggs :) Anyone want to buy a used radio jingle?
