USA-based Myles Sergé returns with the seventh release on his own (MS) imprint. The experienced producer also lists appearances on the quality labels like Zenker Brothers Ilian Tape, Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains, Mike Derer’s Northern Parallels and Philippe Petit’s Knotweed to name only a few.

Titled Somewhere In Flint, his latest four original works contain a mix of abstract and grooving cuts using spacey textures and deep atmospherics making some really interesting and quirky ideas.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “The Black Regis” that has a tool-like approach. The raw, analogue groove barely deviates from a gritty wobble, but the subtle, sonic shaping allows an organic feeling in its presence. A somewhat esoteric trip, built for those who can craft it into a longer mix journey perhaps, it sure caught our ear.

Actress is the second album from @Hd-Substance for our label and the sequel of the previous Actors album released previously on the label.

The inspiration comes from classic cinema actresses, their classy look, their inner beauty and translating that classic feel to classic methods of electronic music creation and genres.

All music was made using only hardware tools with no computers involved, analog synthesizers, old drum machines, cheap FX units and hardware step sequencers.

Everything was mixed on an old analog console and recorded straight into a vintage tape recorder, preserving the production methods from the eighties and nineties of the past century.

Using his studio as a whole musical instrument, Hd Substance delivers eight cuts ranging from electro to techno, using his weapons skillfully, emphasizing on sound design only using his own made sound palette.

As recent scientific studies (ANITA) suggest, our planet Earth might also be producing some strange "upward going" cosmic waves of particles that are not accounted in the Standard Model. So far, nobody knows what is the source of those game changing particles randomly observed. Random discoveries are the best a scientist could hope for. Taking a step back, this hope and curiosity of the unknown could also be the driving forces that pushed Soviet Union explorer to launch the SG3 project in 1970. Their goal was to drill earth’s crust as deep as possible to get a better understanding of our home structure and composition.

For the third release of Cosmic Wave Records, commands are given to techno artist Vardae for a journey into planet Earth deepest borehole: SG3. Starting from Level 0 (0m) in 1970, the first two tracks of the EP emphasize the hope and curiosity that soviet drillers could feel when they started drilling, using uplifting and peaceful harmonies on pads conducted by subtle rhythms and groovy basses. As the journey goes on into the mists of the deep, Vardae vision takes the listener to darker places, using a nice balance of cycling rhythms and mental atmospheres, with a touch of sparkling acid lines. It is year 1989 when, under extreme conditions (180°C), the drillers reaches the deepest place of planet Earth so far: minus 12 262 meters.The four original compositions are packed with two remixes from CWR residents. KLI.M proposes a stripped back and percussive oriented remix of Level 0, Diapasøn takes the listener to his own deep, remixing 12 262, with dark resonant synth sustained by trippy grooves.
