For this track the inspiration once again was very anime-ish, and what better inspiration than Dragon Ball Z? This track is particularly inspired in the old Budokai Tenkaichi games, with a hint of pirate.coded sections to better fit Undyne. I really hope you enjoy this track.

36 - Death by Glamour

Finally, one of my favorite tracks on the original game. For this one, at first I tried using something that focused more on string instruments, such as violins or harps, but structurally and composition-wise it was way too similar to the original version, so I started again, trying to use the same focus, but with a twist. I was recommended using the classic Spider-Man theme as a reference, and by mixing it with heavy rock and synths, I think I reached something interesting enough. But anyways, I hope you like this one.

BIG WITH ME

This track is actually a mashup of various other tracks from this soundtrack but distorted and heavily modified, like Ruins, Enemy Approaching, CORE, etc. I wanted this song to be an actual amalgam by itself, so it also switches keys and time signatures much like Here We Are. I was also inspired by Ash-Veil Lane's ARG (?) for making this. 

As a fun fact this is one of the songs that went through the most changes, with this being the fourth version I made. Hope you like it!

095 - Amalgam

*Undyne rises after taking the blow, but a whisper goes into her ear, all it says is “keep running, keep going, that’s what you do best, ain’t it?”.

“This is a pre-battle to something I will very much explain more, but of course if you know the reference to this…uhhh, therapy. Just therapy. This version is more of the emotional aspect of this transformation we see in Undertale. Undyne is rising from the ashes not outta hopes and dreams, but with dread, sorrow, anger, knowing one thing on her mind, failure isn’t a factor. This idea takes from this. From how I see this song playing.  and you know what’s crazy? This idea wasn’t even mine and I love Cyberpunk Edgerunners. This was all Shade.”  - Crusadin

Hi this is Shade again. As the other guy mentioned, this track takes a lot of inspiration from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, specifically Maine's theme. I wanted to convey a mix of dread and pain, but also hope and faith. Like, hope that beats stronger with every drop of blood. It's about Undyne feeling a power burning inside of her, something that just won't let her fall, not without a fight. It's difficult to put these sentiments into words, but hopefully you'll get what I mean.

As for the track itself, I feel like I may have "overdone" it, considering the cutscene doesn't really last more than one minute, but still, I wanted to try out doing something more "epic" for this. Stay tuned for the next song TOMORROW!

114 - But The Earth Refused To Die

So for this one I was debating whether just making a short loop or making a full track. At the end, I decided to try out something in the middle: Something that, while is not a full song, could technically pass as one. This probably was an even worse decision. Good news is a full version is in the works so I will post it in the future, maybe as its own thing, maybe as part of something else. Who knows?

As for the track itself, like most Mettaton themes, it draws a lot of inspiration from Sonic, specifically Stardust Speedway and Metallic Madness. As always, hope you enjoy!
