I have yet to find a playlist consisting of only W.D Gaster and his main melody. Sure, there have been some, but they also included Megalo Strike Back, which I have considered to not exactly be correlated with Gaster himself. So, this playlist is ONLY for tracks that include his main motif, along with a few exceptions. . .

Scramble Saga technically doesn't meet the criteria for an AU for this project, as its "not dead" status update was less than six months ago, but we got a request from a friend in a high place, and honestly ScrS has never gotten enough attention anyway. So consider a bit of a strange exception. Perfect for a track about Gaster. Thumbnail is a screenshot from the latest part of the comic.

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore VII, the Dog ending, details a strange ending in which Toriel, Papyrus, Undyne, Mettaton, and Asgore were killed, but everyone else was left alone. Now a little white dog rules the Underground by doing little more than sleeping on the throne all day. Somehow, this is working out...really, really well for everyone? NOTHING IS OUT OF PLACE. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. EVERYTHING IS FINE. =)

Gaster shares the role of Sans with Alphys. The strange anomalies that brought this timeline into being have summoned him from beyond, and he is rather cross with the fact that no one seems bothered by what happened other than him. The rest of the Underground may be under some sort of spell of contentment over the deaths of some of their great leaders, but you can't pull the metaphorical wool over this doctor's eyes. He's onto you. He always is. He's always listening.

Apologies for not uploading very frequently, I set a pretty high standard for myself when it comes to making music, so songs take a while to get to a state where I personally think it's good enough to upload. The three learn rather quickly what ended up happening to the poor monsters who succumbed to the CORE's meltdown. Dr. Gaster's research notes reveal something about the differences between human SOULs and monster SOULs. While they both have their own versions of it, their forms of Determination are vastly different. For Monsters, this essence is known as Willpower, whereas Determination was later coined by Dr. Gaster as a means distinguishing the two types.

And what he'd also come to learn at the very last minute, though he never was able to finish his thoughts... Determination and Willpower do not mix well at all, it seems. 

This would eventually result in monsters who would literally fall apart. Not quite to the same extent as turning to dust, however. Unsettling, barely-living pieces of Monsters, running on equal parts Determination and Willpower.

The monsters whose remnants can be encountered are Knight Knight, Madjick, the CORE Mercenary silhouette known here simply as CORE Supervisor, Terry, Vulkin's Dad and a group of Temmies. All of these people had some business at the CORE at the time of the meltdown, aside from the Temmies, who simply seemed to be there as emotional support for Vulkin's Dad.

I MiSs YoU - Strike against Giygas

The idea I had for this one was that, along with adding instruments, the characters would also have their leitmotifs show up on the song as they also appeared on screen. At first, however, this ended sounding too cluttered, like trying to squeeze in on a full bus on the morning. So I extended each segment to give each motif more "space", if that makes sense. Speaking of which, Alphys' motif was the hardest to fit in because when I composed it I did so with the 5/4 ish time signature in mind, so translating that to 4/4 was quite difficult. Nevertheless, hope you enjoy. 

Also I'll maybe upload each section individually in the future on the soundtrack (or you could check them by yourself once the mod is out)
