Kaspiann liveshows encouraged a burgeoning experimental landscape to emphasize the tactile feeling of rhythm manipulation. Astral virtuosities dazzling fromout the deepest corners of winter sun. The perpetual beauty smoldered in ecstatic bliss. 

With his own VALA imprint the Helsinki based producer releases his own music in relation to production made with other artists who are close to him. Later this year he will release on Delsin's Mantis series. Forest swords ranging high with his participation towards the Cleptu serie.

I’m very pleased that he participated and will be the one to guide us through his musical fascinations.

This next guest has been a loyal contributor to Oslo’s cultural landscape for some years now, and moulded it to his own imagining. Marius Bø is one half of Accelerationism and cofounder of the UTE collective, whose name has become synonymous with surreptitious forest raves and a label of the same name (UTE.REC), publisher to fellow purveyors of contemporary psychedelic trance like Oprofessionell (UTE’s second mastermind) and Alpha Tracks. Creeping out of the Scandinavian forests that have played host to those painstakingly curated gatherings comes a fearsome sound distinctly his own. His work dovetails futuristic soundscapes and old-school acid distortions to mind altering effect, and posits this guttural psychedelic techno as a result. It’s a trance-permeated amalgam that’s gaining traction everywhere from Basel's Elyisa to Taipei’s Pawnshop and a raft of other venues in any city worth its salt. Bassiani Podcast 204 is an atmospheric two-hour blend of vast and trippy beats, primordial techno with woodland roots, where Marius dives into the deeper facets of his collection.

For this week's podcast, we welcome back a familiar face of SKIN: Remma. Inspired by the symbiotic energy and tension buildup on the dance floor, this set is a playful interplay of rhythmic layers, in which Remma brings together twisting noises with themes of exploration and unpredictability. 

With his growing presence in the Dutch music scene and strong ties to Enschede's music community, Remma's journey has been nothing short of adventurous. 

Over the past few years, he's been a driving force in shaping the Enschede scene with his DIY radio station ITMOTR Radio. His style, characterized by deep, rhythmic, and explorative narratives, has captured dance floors across the country, including Amsterdam, with his contributions to events like Het Einde at De School and weekenders at Garage Noord.

We want to add a special thank you note to this one, since Remma is also the creative mind behind the artwork for our upcoming series, adding his unique vision to the experience he brings to our podcast.

Woody92 is a multidisciplinary artist and sculptor of a unique sonic realm; exploring psychoactive strains of dwelling textures, push forward shamanism, deep lysergic and deconstructed blending of techno.

2024 has seen Woody playing one of the final sets at the legendary De School closing party, debuting at Berghain with his own Omen Wapta label night, a standout performance at Organik festival and a debut at the hallowed Paral-lel festival later this year.

MNMT 420 contains music forthcoming on his Omen Wapta label, unreleased projects from friends and collaborative pieces made with younger brother Floid.

The fundamental vision of the mix is a stream that descends from the forest horizon, twisting and turning toward the foreground, filling the spaces with a tactile and fluid sense of motion. The perspective vanishes into a percussive dialogue inside ancient realms. And where layers of space stretch endlessly within morphological distances.

Next up in our mix series is our good friend, Aaron J. An esteemed label head, promoter and selector based in New York. Aaron is the founder of Sure Thing, a New York-based label and mix series operating at the boundaries of rhythmic, experimental dance music. As a performer, Aaron is inspired by the complex dialogues that arise between sound and emotion on the dance floor, with highlight appearances including Sustain Release, Monument Festival, and Nowadays. 

In this mix Aaron shows his level of empathy and attention-to-detail are unmistakable, layering, building and driving emotions ever onwards. With a truly unique-, flawless- and warm approach to music, Aarons sound has a true depth that remains in your brain and soul.

Next up in our mix series is the Prague-based DJ and DIY promoter, Marie Pravda. Marie is a central figure in the Prague community, being a resident at Ankali & Planeta Za where she runs her regular Planeta Pravda club series. Maria is known for her sublime sets either in sweaty basements or under the stars, of endless push & pull with the crowd that charges her selection and mixing. The great secret of the truth (Pravda in Czech) has been revealed.

In this episode Marie takes us on a proper ride of rising energy levels and subtle tension-building. Rolling grooves, manufactured both towards the mind and body, evolve seamlessly. From hypnotic baselines to unexpected flourishes, Marie's mix embodies a sophisticated interplay of energy and emotion, making it align for both sweaty dance floors and introspective wanders.

Next up in our mix series is Loek Frey, out of Amsterdam, an artist operating from an elusive abyss. Immune to external constraints, the OQAD label head is paving the way for a newfound sound within contemporary electronic music. While performing either as DJ or live, during peak time or sit down - Loek never fails to channel his liminal space of frequencies, resulting in appearances at places such as De School, Ankali, and Tresor. His productional oeuvre covers infinite tempos, lengths, and moods, which he manifests through his OQAD imprint and releases on labels such as Omen Wapta.

In this mix, Loek takes on a mind tickling trip both for the mind and body. Whether it’s IDM, techno, drum-and-bass, or breakbeat, Loek manages to fuse an unmatched sonic spectrum into a distinctive aesthetic at the collision point of the organic and mechanic, with a sound design through a razor-sharp minimalistic scope.
