Sets Trance

Berlin-based DJ and label head @philipp-drube has been pulling inspiration from his own dancefloor experiences ever since he first shaped his own vision of DJing. Focusing primarily on Hard-Dance music, he moves between trance, fast-paced Techno and  Hardcore – a blend which has earned him appearances at Berlin’s most established venues, including Griessmuehle and Säule of Berghain / Panorama Bar.

He explained to us why he had the urge to set the decks on fire again:
„After some very challenging weeks during the recent wintertime in the pandemic, this set was inspired by the first sunny spring days of 2021 and the emerging memories of some good old and heartwarming festival days. At the same time, the mix gives a hint about the path our label Space Trax will take soundwise in the near future.“

"Hi world,
As you are listening to this, the people in Gaza are listening to the sound of genocide as the terror state of Israel carpet bombs hospitals, mosques, schools, refugee camps and other clear cut civilian targets while the elected leaders of the western world watch in silence.

Let it be known that in November 2023 when this mix came out more than 11.000 Palestinians including more than 4500 children were slaughtered by the fascist Israeli regime in the live streamed attacks on Gaza. At this point in time, it’s been more than a month of full-scale intentional genocide and documented war crimes and the western world has yet to condemn it and take action to push for ceasefire and negotiations to end the cycle of bloodshed due to the decade long violent occupation of Palestine.

To everyone following and listening to this, please speak up, read about and share what is happening, write your government representatives, attend protests, make noise and choose humanity and call for an end to this. Ceasefire is only the beginning; the violent occupation and apartheid must end. Enough is enough.

A dedicated consumer and creator of trance music, AWHM’s production style draws clear influence from old school goa, psytrance, jungle breaks, and tekno, most easily recognised by his ability to combine driving basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and scattered percussions to transport audiences through uncharted psychedelic realms of fast trance music. 

Evolutionary by nature, he’s managed to leverage extensive experiences that led to a self-taught studio process which now stands out in one of the more niche corners of electronic music. Adam Pits could very well be one of the hottest names in the underground right now. The Leeds DJ & producer, like many other artists, refused to let the misery of 2020 halt their creative output.Instead, Pits maintained focus and released EP’s via Coastal Haze, X-Kalay and Space Labs, appeared on compilations with One Records, Wex and others, and remixed tracks on labels such as Planet Euphorique and Dansu Discs.
