~ "На втором мини-альбоме небылснаружи продолжает двигаться по территории шероховатого синти-попа и постпанка. Запись короткая и насыщенная: песни по классическим панк-рецептам, вроде “96000” и “мы”, перемежаются крошечными звуковыми упражнениями, которые можно было бы сравнить со “скитами” в хип-хопе.

“мы” — это исследование выразительных возможностей гитарного звука музыкантом, привыкшим работать в первую очередь с электронными текстурами. Отсюда любование эхом, помехами и шершавостями: гитара в “серотонине” выведена на первый план в духе аутентичного постпанка и временами заглушает сбивчивый речетатив Карины Сёминой, а “калач”, последняя дорожка, наполненная лофайными шумами, звучит как пробуждение от глубокого сна.

Все шесть с половиной треков созданы словно в промежуточном состоянии между сном и бодрствованием или сером пространстве полярной ночи. Если в “мы” зафиксировано, как говорит сам автор, переживание будних, это будни темные, холодные, состоящие из спотыканий и потерь. Есть соблазн назвать “мы” очередным переосмыслением постпанка, но приемы и уловки постпанка здесь скорее подвергаются медленной разморозке, теряя изначальный цвет и вкус, но приобретая взамен гомогенность и новую плотность." - Олена Погонченкова (bubblegum zine - t.me/bubblegumzine)

~ "On the second EP небылснаружи (beennooutside) continues to move through the territory of gritty synth-pop and post-punk. The recording is short and rich, with songs from classic punk recipes like '96000' and 'we' are punctuated with tiny sound exercises that could be compared with "skits" in hip-hop.

“We” is a study of the expressive possibilities of guitar sound by a musician who is used to working primarily with electronic textures. Hence here is the admiration for echoes, interference and roughness: the guitar in “serotonin” is brought to the fore in the spirit of authentic post-punk and at times drowns out Karina Semina’s confused recitative. “kalach”, which is the last track is filled with lo-fi noises and it sounds like awakening from a deep sleep.

All six and a half tracks are created as if in an intermediate state between sleep and wakefulness or the gray space of the polar night. If, as the author himself says, the experience of weekdays is fixed in “we”, these are dark, cold everyday life days, consisting of stumbling and losses. There is a temptation to call a track “we” an another rethinking of post-punk, but the techniques and tricks of post-punk here are rather slowly defrosted, losing their original color and taste, but instead acquiring homogeneity and new density. Gladio Operations label presents its ninth release, with volume 2 of the Split Machine series, which this time features two new and recognised faces on the European and American electro scene.

One of these new faces is producer Noamm. This Greek artist, who has releases on such respected labels as Bass Agenda and Fundamental Records, opens the EP with "Clone Machine" and "Scientific Technological Device", two excellent rough and pragmatic tracks which link perfectly with “Verruckter Wissenschaftler”. The latter track, a fast-paced cut impregnated with tasty dark textures, perfectly defines the talent of the Hellenic producer. 

The B-side bears the signature of Brice Kelly, who also debuts on Gladio Operations and gifts us three fantastic, enveloping, and melodic tracks. The American producer kicks off with “Beings of Alpha”, a deep and very well-constructed journey that gives way to “If You Don't Think Like Us”. 
We really like it, even more so if it is accompanied by an elegant vocoder and enigmatic strings. Lastly, we arrive at “Powers That Be”, the closing track of the album, where we can perceive a cut of aggressive bass lines and gloomy textures, well aligned with well-chosen robotic vocals.

Machine Emotion is Tomas Jirku interfacing with hardware to make uncompromising techno and electro. After decades of exploring genres with the near-limitless possibilities afforded by software production, Tomas has built up an array of music making machines, letting his long time love of industrial music bleed into his creations.

For his new EP on PPRZ, Tomas sends pulses of acid into continually morphing environments to chart their novel paths. Cloud Chamber is the screams of long-dead physicists trapped in the world changing experiments of their own making. Tiny Hadron Collider releases their souls from torment leaving only echos of their forlorn cries.

Label co-curators Adam 2 and DJ Hockey provide two warehouse-y broken beat banging remixes to compliment the acidic EP.

These are challenging times in the middle east. As the situation in Gaza gets worse daily, we are committed to doing what we can to end this conflict, and provide aid to the residents of Gaza, as well as all Palestinians in the west bank.

All proceeds from Confused Machines' digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il, which continues its medical work and humanitarian aid in the West Bank despite the difficult circumstances.

Since October 2023, PHRI has doubled its activity in the West Bank and is sending two weekly mobile clinic visits to help communities that are cut off from medical treatment due to the severe wave of settler and military violence, movement restrictions, and the financial crisis in the West Bank.

PHRI is currently unable to operate in Gaza due to restrictions by the Israeli authorities, and have been barred from delivering aid to the strip. PHRI is constantly working to resume these activities and will do so as soon as the circumstances allow.

We urge for an immediate ceasefire, the return of all hostages, and a peaceful future for all inhabitants of this troubled land.
