Uto Karem and Léger worked together digitally to create ‘Danceflood’, and used Skype to send Ableton files and samples back and forth to each other. “Because Uto and I are both quick when it comes to writing music, the track was done in just a few hours,” says Léger. “Usually it takes me a day or two to complete a track.”

Karem and Léger’s first official music meeting occurred in December when the Frenchman remixed Karem’s rolling techno cut ‘Utopolys’ on Agile Recordings. That remix turned out to be a perfect marriage for the Italian’s heavy, percussion-infused techno sound, and the synth-driven electronic grooves of Mr. Léger

I am very proud to present you Tronic's 500th release. When I started the label close to 30 years ago, I never thought that it would reach such a milestone. Christian Smith recently spent a few days in Germany working on some tracks with Eric Sneo. Life Moves Pretty Fast has a nice old school feel, but with todays production. Loads of energy with phat grooves, and analog stabs. Deluxe is arpeggio driven, more hypnotic, but equally powerful!

Rene Wise returns to Dustin Zahn’s Enemy Records with a massive follow up to 2022’s label debut, Jungle House. On “Deprivation,” the Moving Pressure artist delivers 4 undeniable, heads-down Techno grooves in his signature style.

Minimalism is the theme on the A-side. Anxiety and Insomnia are both stripped down and tripped out. Both hold steady in arrangement, allowing for the smallest details to shine through. Each track is topped off with Rene’s otherworldly synth washes and FX splashes atop of steady unwavering grooves.

A slight departure from his usual grooves, the B-side drifts off into uncharted territory while keeping in line with the moodiness of the A side. Sakar focuses on a pulsating tension-building synth line in constant flux. Meanwhile, staccato basslines and percussive splashes merge to form the record’s funkiest moment on Cutting Thick.
