After kicking-off the trilogy with ‘Obsidian’, Joran van Pol now delivers the second installment: ‘Something’. ‘Something’ is - like reflected in the artwork - even rougher than its predecessor. A stripped-down, stark and percussive techno track. The trilogy will be completed in 2021. The artwork is, again, made especially for this track by ‘dotting’ artist Srch_of.

About Joran van Pol:
Techno DJ/producer Joran van Pol has a somewhat special story. His debut release ‘Untitled 2’ was signed to Richie Hawtin’s Minus, followed by Joran's seminal release 'Faded'. Where do you go from there? Well, with the ‘Implicit E.P.’ on Dubfire’s Sci+Tec, several releases on Joris Voorn’s label Rejected, a remix and full E.P. ’Immediate E.P.’ on Matador’s Rukus and a collab with Maksim Dark ‘Thrill’ on Senso Sounds. ‘Derelict’ on Second State was added in 2020.

Zafer heard the original track and fell in love for the first time in a Victor Ruiz livestreaming set and convinced Audio State to make this release from the young and passionate EXTIMA together with a powerful remix adding some fury and passion to the existing heavy sentiments of the original.

Unrilis is thrilled to announce the debut solo release from Dino Barretta called ‘Come With Me’.

Born and raised in Italy, Dino Barretta’s journey in the music industry started at a very young age when he played synths for several bands and performed at just friends’ parties before become a music producer working at Music Factory Studio in Naples and now he is dedicating himself to music production, and drawing from his feelings and life experience to influence his work and art.

Dino Baretta: “From several years I have been working in my studio (Music Factory - Italy), for many musical projects and different artists. During the pandemic period I had a great desire and also the time to decide to return to produce my tracks with a sound that has always influenced me, following only my instinct, and that would give me emotions.  The name of the song was extracted from the vocal hook phrase that contains a message that struck me, which in my case means come with me, I'll take you to my world.”

Come With Me opens the release with a pulsating Arps, hints of euphoria and atmospheric feeling covered with deep vocals and groovy percussion that give the track a dancing rhythms, closing the releasing is an intro track that builds the tension slowly and gives a hint to what it’s coming.

If there is an artist to watch, Dino Barretta is a top of the list for his unique kind of music and sound signature.

Drumcode’s newest EP, entitled The Napoli Connection, showcase’s some of the city’s finest techno exports in Rino Cerrone, Markantonio, Joseph Capriati, Sasha Carassi and Luigi Madonna.
 
Kicking off the EP are two of the southern Italian city’s lynchpins, Rino Cerrone and Mark Antonio. Both producer/djs are regarded as godfathers of the scene and it’s not inaccurate to say that their stewardship of the scene in Naples is what has put it on the techno map. Their contribution, ‘Junction Hands’, is a simple filter-driven cut which relies on little more than a paired down percussion set and fluid arrangement to do utmost damage.
 
Drumcode regular Joseph Capriati follows with ‘Vesuvio’, a track which takes both its name and temperament from Naples infamous volcano which overlooks the young producer’s studio. Uncompromising and relentless, ‘Vesuvio’ gives fast insight into why the likes of Dave Clarke and Beyer have been so vocal about Capriati’s talents.
 
Sasha Carrassi, having laid down his ‘Hypercombo EP’ for Drumcode late last year, returns with the heavily percussive ‘Drumline’. Rattling toms, layered snares and shifting rides combine with a superbly judged shuffle to create a track as swinging as it is heavy.
 
Luigi Madonna, having developed a solild reputation via releases for Cerrone’s Loose imprint, turns in the searing, mood onslaught of ‘7 Swords’ to close yet another package of distinctly Drumcode floorkillers.
