Introducing their first release, French platform and producer Unidentified Turning Object launch the four-track 'Unidentified Turning Object 001' EP, a highly inventive statement that blends astral drone, dubby downtempo, high-energy breaks and crystalline ambient textures...Our pick for the premiere is third track, 'Menthol' thanks to its celestial aura. Ambient swells evoke the synaptic mazes of the mind, where seraphic chants entwine with shimmering string oscillations in a delicate, orchestral fog. It’s a slow-burner, a meditative homage to the more ethereal undercurrents of drum and bass, subtly nodding to Metalheadz golden era. It’s an apt name for multimedia artist Max Cooper’s electronic imprint, where the MO is clattering rhythms and voluminous ambient vistas; sound as a vehicle for big ideas. Cooper’s exclusive Bleep mix celebrates the achievements of Mesh with a collection of works from their discography, featuring the ambient swells of Rob Clouth and some especially crisp breakbeat re-alignments from the likes of Reid Willis and Synkro. To top it off, there’s a couple of unreleased Cooper numbers you won’t hear anywhere else.
