Revelation Session is pleased to present Utopian. Utopian is Isidro Bolívar’s moniker. He was born in the south of Spain and from an early age he always had a soft spot for introspective music, no matter if it was floor-oriented or home-listening. As a Dj he takes hypnotism as the foundations of his craft, although, his sets can take many shapes, tribal, deep, minimal or melodic depending on the mood.
A few years ago, he discovered a new wave of Italian techno musicians like Donato Dozzy and especially Marco Shuttle which was a life-changing moment for him. This would define his technique, dj skills and mindset. Focusing on a more progressive based built up and smooth transitions. Musically speaking Utopian keeps an open eye on new releases but also on old hidden gems and will play them within the same set as long as the music pairs harmonically and respect the timeless quality of techno aesthetics.
He played a few gigs at Alpenglühen, a notorious forward-thinking techno night run by the internationally respected F-ON in Madrid. 
He closing set at Calma festival (Madrid) this time with a more tribal-ambient approach to a crowd sitting and completely immersed in music. More  recently he played at perpendicular fest and the mythical club of southern Spain industrial copera.
Apart from being a Dj, Isidro was an active promoter while living in Madrid. Confessed digger and record collector and currently experimenting with music in the studio. He also recently created a space for local artists to express themselves by performing through ambient and immersive techno streaming sessions, his name is "espacio ingrávido".
He currently lives in Granada, in the south of Spain. There he has formed a collective with his partners and friends Fran Acosta and Kaizen (Antonio Moreno), their name is Klub Collective, and they have invited great national and international artists such as Acronym, Estrato Aurora, Atoloi or Cobahn".

Set de mas de cuatro horas del pasado 23 de Agosto en Almeria. Una sesión muy diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrado a subir, ya que en esta ocasión un publico mas variado y no tan de la escena "Techno" es el que tuve delante. Este escenario me ayudo a llevar la sesión de una forma mas ecléctica y poner mas estilos, todo muy de pista. Tener tanto tiempo fue un reto y a la vez un privilegio 
para probar al publico y a mi mismo.

Set grabado en directo el pasado 19 de Junio en ramen bar utopia (Granada). Es un mix de mas de 5 horas en el que puse mucho material del que no suelo poner. Desde el ambient trip-hopero de Biosphere, Aphex Twin o Air liquide, pasando por downtempo o dub  y terminando con productores mas actuales de techno horizontal como Atis (@atismusic), Olorun (@idorecords) o @Kanthor. Tiene un par de transiciones importantes que te llevan a cada estilo o fase del set, para que así se pueda degustar por trozos, dado el tamaño del mismo.
Todo esta impregnado con mucha atmósfera y Bpms bajitos.

You and I are doing our best at conversation, keeping it light, steering clear of what we'd like to say.You leave, and the night becomes cluttered with moths, some tattered, their dumbly curious filaments startling against my cheek. How quickly, instinctively, I brush them away. Dazed, they cling to the outer darkness like pale reminders of ourselves. Others seem to want so desperately to get inside. Campfire Stories 97 (Beyond the Sky) by Utopian

Sigo con mi exploración de los diferentes caminos del techno, que ya no es techno, es electrónica pausada o acelerada, depende del rango de bpms que se utilice, de ahí el nombre de este mix, "90 x 180". Los tempos son tan lejanos que se juntan y se pueden mezclar, pareciendo en ocasiones Drum and bass (180)y en otras dub techno hiperlento (90).
El resultado carece de etiquetas pero creo que es algo personal e hipnótico.

I continue my exploration of the different paths of Techno. In this mix, I wanted to explore the different speeds in which you can find music that could still be categorised as Techno. The title, 90x180 is a reflection of how tempos blend to a point where your mind feels alienated with the rhythm. Slow dub blending with very fast rhythms harmonically fighting each other. The result, hard to classify, is a very hypnotic and personal set.
