Robo X is the Founding Member of Love.Play Radio, Co-Owner of Karotz Clothing, a Producer and a DJ.

His taste in music leans towards the deep electronic sounds with a touch of techno. He grew up listening to punk rock and indie music which only led him to fall in love with electronic music.

He current musical inspirations are all big actors on the underground-music world stage. Of course, Innervisions, owned by none other than Dixon and Âme, who are dedicated to always keeping their music and parties - simply about the music. Another large inspiration is Berlin-based record label Maeve, founded by Irish boys Mano Le Tough, The Drifter and Baikal. Their sounds embody underground, and Robo x has a special resonance with the Drifter, who always manages to draw in sounds from various genres. Lastly, the infamous Talaboman, whose music always finds its way into
his sets.

He’s music cycles through emotions and the synth actions, escalating arpeggios and sinister basslines are his signature.Simply put, Robo x plays music because he loves it, He has the ability to sway you with his well curated sets that will take you somewhere out of this world.

UTOPIA Podcast 003 - Robo X

Intense, yet soothingly dark, meditative sounds from the universe for a tribal dancing revolution.

Zac Watz has been steadily evolving as a Techno DJ for the past decade in Hong Kong. Having learned to spin on vinyl in Canada nearly 15 years ago, he has developed into Leftfield and Meditative styles of Techno, spliced with inspiring bits of Ambient, Drone and Acid sounds. Zac's musical selection is set with the purpose of delivering a slightly experimental element to critical listeners of techno.

His unique upbringing in Northern Canada in the late 70s introduced him to the combination of hard work, nature and music. Along with the inclusiveness and open-minded influences of this alternative community, he eventually fell in love with electronic music and the culture of underground house and techno. "House and Techno represent an inclusivity and acceptance that can be hard to find in what has become an overly commercialised world. I think that Techno, in it’s most eclectic and creative development, is an expression of the collective in both its ethos and dance culture. I feel humanity will find that technology is ultimately an expression of nature and, in it’s purest form through sound, can remind us of what we’ve forgotten and bring us back closer to ourselves."

Zac’s direction took a new Twist in late 2012 when he founded a small group to create small, gritty and seriously casual parties with a dedicated sound system; this journey into sound quality has been one that has permanently altered his perspective on the power of music and quality audio.

Along with other talented local underground artists that form a determined community of electronic music enthusiasts, Watz has ranged from volunteering for an intimate underground festival, running a dedicated Funktion-One sound system and assisting with the ideology of combining community through music, quality sound and dance.
