We are super hyped to present the 73rd edition featuring a high intensity hour of groove from re:flect co-founder Ciaocacao!

Ciaocacao is a female DJ living in Berlin. Next to her solo project she is also part and co-founder of the interdisciplinary collective re:flect. Music has always fascinated her for a long time. She used to love to dance for hours and get lost in the melodies and rhythms – today she tries to create these exact feelings of freedom and ecstasy through her sets. This is also where her inspiration comes from, for her there is nothing better than seeing how she can take people on a musical journey and make them dance. Her sound is focused on an energetic, groovy and rolling tunes with a high tempo.

We are super excited to present the 81st podcast featuring an hour of full-throttle grooves from Mikrotakt!

Sacha Treasure aka Mikrotakt is a London native who grew up in the deep forest of Sweden - This raw groove dealer has already released on the likes of Cantical Records, Catalog 01366, Trau-ma and the aforementioned DifferentSound. With more big releases planned for the rest of the year, there's no sign of slowing down.

From the age of 14 Sacha has been learning his way around DAWs and electronic music, experimenting with old school hip hop. Coming from a very musical background his family encouraged creativity - Learning many instruments throughout his childhood from violin to piano.

Sacha later fell in love with the underground rave scene and the sound of Techno. Since then he has gotten involved where he can and developed his sound.

Mikrotakt can be identified as raw, percussive and groovy. His hybrid sets deliver pounding rhythms full of energy.

Hemka joins for DifferentSound Podcast #167.

Marseille-born DJ and producer, Hemka. Hemka’s life has been influenced with music since a young age, growing up in a musical family and playing bass guitar as a teenager. However, her musical career lifted off since 2017 with “The mystery of the Black Flamingo”, which was released on Float Records. Since then, the French artist released on many renowned labels such as Rekids, Bpitch, Symbolism, Noise Manifesto, among others. Her productions are full of shrewd, minimalistic sounds – paradoxically enough making up her very maxed-out production style. Ambitious and goal driven, she has just launched her own label called ‘Nerudo’, on which she has released her first 4tracks EP called « Divine Beast ».

In 1993 Duniz started spinning records for the first time. He quickly became resident DJ at a small underground club in his hometown of Bielefeld. In 2001 he and his companion Henrixx started their first releases on Anthony Rother's labels, further releases on Zombie Nation and Stammheim Legende Pierre labels followed.
After many more gigs and working in a club, Duniz took some time off to focus on family. In 2022 Duniz came back and started producing. He started working together with Nadine Fehn and Marcel Huldt for their label Klangtrauma.
In January 2025 Duniz started his own Imprint “Equal”, as a platform for artists that love raw, hypnotic Techno with a dose of groove.
Duniz is currently releasing on many recognised labels, a small selection is below, as well as a short overview of some of the clubs he has played in.

Two decades of raw devotion to the craft have forged a sound that is both weapon and ritual: Detroit’s soul collides with Berlin’s industrial might, Birmingham’s rebellion burns in the grooves.

His is a world of cavernous percussion, martial cadences, melodies that cut like wire. The dancefloor becomes a battleground—not of chaos, but of precision. Every kick drum a hammer strike, every synth a blade honed in shadow. Labels like Axis, KMS, and SOMA have channeled this energy; collaborators like Ben Sims and Ken Ishii have amplified it.

Now, ENCODED ECHOES I draws to a close with PUSHMANN’s final strike—a transmission of power, darkness, and unrelenting motion.
