Sauren Kids is an electronic music duo from Argentina, made up of Valo and Joaco aka Sauren and Kid aka your greatest fantasy.  Their driving force is their passion for art and avant-garde. During their “Nasty Party” and “Spektro” events, they spread their love of the “Nasty” concept: a mixture of different sounds and influences without boundaries. Their music got released  on labels like @gombocrec, @txrecords, TRUKING, KR records and @austro-records among others.

We premiere an all Irish techno weapon from Rustal with Jon Hussey on remix duties for the newly formed Circuit Structure Records label curated by Offtrack. Jon’s remix is pure and pounding broken techno at it’s very best, hypnotic synth lines lay across hammering bass drum and percussion hits to brutal effect.

Simple but effective the concept has been in label owner Offtrack’s mind & in the making for the last two years. Circuit – A synonym for Loop. Loop driven techno of many structures. All things bleepy with a hint of the sound from the 90s.

Rustal’s sound is heavily influenced by authoritative techno figures, wether it be Claude Young, Steve Rachmad, Shifted or Moritz von Oswald, the Dublin native is known for extensively delving into classic and contemporary techno sounds. Peter’s obsession for cavernous techno experimentation has landed him in some elite clubs, cities, parties and played alongside some of the world’s finest.

Jon Hussey creates expertly crated techno, that is categorically deep, rolling and packed with intricate rhythmic touches, but when speaking about Jon, categorising it is utterly pointless, as his evolution as a DJ and producer is incessant. Jon has released music on Irish imprints Earwiggle, Delinquent Delivery and RLSD. His collaborations with the late Stuey Lyons [R.I.P.] are thought to be some of his best work, receiving widespread notoriety and support from some of the leading techno DJs in the world. Jon also notably had his work on RLSD remixed by Japanese techno icon Takaaki Itoh.

Jon’s remix is dripping with Slovakian techno flavour, similar to the sounds of the early 2000’s that were championed by DJ Boss, Bas Mooy, Jeroen Liebregts and more. The is a golden & dynamic loop, thrusting over pounding low end and sharp percussive grooves. This is simply beautiful.

Expressing his rebellious attitude and intense energy, Paraguayan DJ & producer Bruno Wølf leads the new wave of techno and trance artists in his country.

He’s the owner of the De_Konstrukt party and co-founder of the U-Topic platform, with which he promotes innovation in his local scene towards more alternative proposals, inclusive spaces, support for emerging artists and a more open mind towards different currents.

In addition to playing regularly at local parties and clubs in Paraguay, he also performed internationally in Austria, Switzerland, and Argentina.

His sound is aggressive yet emotional, both in his DJ sets and in his productions, always guided by his intuition and focused on the dancefloor.

Influenced by the alternative and futuristic; his style remains eclectic, fast-paced and not limited to a single genre. A journey exploring the music wilderness.

This is reflected in his releases on labels such as SpeedMaster Records (Germany), Gomboc Records (Arg), Imminent Records (Portugal), Katana (Germany), Groove State (USA), T4F (Arg), Trucking (Arg), among others.

His music was supported by artists like u.r.trax, Pelin Vedis, Amanda Mussi, Katia Val, Sylvie Maziarz, Alis, Cloudy Ku, Raeke, KH38, Analect, Trancemaster Krause, Cami Vasquez, Tahl, Sina XX, NØW and more.

Introducing to you "U-Topic Guests": a series of mixes from national and international artists, who's art we admired and want to share it to the world.

Our first local guest mix for the podcast 12 is Venus Melissa.

Venus Melissa is a visual artist, curator, and DJ. She has a multidisciplinary proposal that seeks new expressions and finds a medium in music. Her staging provides a sound journey between genres, in which house, electro, Italo funk, techno and trance predominate.

She's co-founder of the Vimana party, a collective that promotes safe spaces for women and dissidence within electronic music. She's also a member of the T4T collective, a movement that seeks the inclusion of trans people in the local artistic scene, being Melissa a key piece in the underground queer scene of the city of Asunción.

In 2022 the artist had several presentations at various events and clubs in the capital of Paraguay, including Tango Asunción, Café Salazar, Palo Santo, La Serafina, and Peach Club, in the latter being in charge of curating and organizing line ups.

Since her childhood, electronic music stood above all other genres for Weyd. She discovered her first techno track in 2014. Barely two years later, she dared to try her hand at DJing. Initially, Nina was playing melodic techno, but for several years now, she has discovered rhythmic tool techno for herself. She primarily draws her musical inspiration from Luke Slater and several others of the Ost Gut Ton label. Regularly, she deep-dives into the depths of Bandcamp and Soundcloud to find the least known but well-produced tracks and add them to her carefully created and unique tracklist.
