I seriously dont know what this composition depicts as a whole. It started off with a riff that Rahul came up with and we guys just kept jamming and kept adding new material to it.

Unique element is a cycle of 21 beats. Which I interpreted as 3 * 7s. Then Praful added his master bass lines and Amol the drummer just took it up 1 notch (as always)

Desire is the suffering is the root. Period. Chalta hai. lol

Unique nature of this composition is a 13 beat cycle. We (i.e Spection) just like to play and we just adore rythm and patterns. You will notice a transition mid way into a cycle of 6 wherein there's a poly of 4 overlapped. Kudos to Aishwarya for coming up with that on the fly in one of our jams.
This one as like to call it is a 'Psycho composition'. Njoy!

Bliss

This was the first single that we'd written together as a band, and released! I'd originally written the lyrics after taking a road trip to Pangong Lake, north of Leh, in Ladakh. I must quite honestly say that it was one of the most beautiful places I'd ever seen. The one thing that really won me over were the stars. The view of the stars from the campsite was nothing like i'd seen before. The galactic clouds, shooting stars, all these inexplicable dots in the sky. The moment I'd returned to Delhi, I saw three stars in the sky. It really pissed me off! 

TL;DR I like stars.

In this chapter of Orion's story, he's finally escaped the island. The night sky flourishes, the stars guide him. Now's not the time to shy away from battle. He scours through the land, in search of the gods, mentally preparing for the david vs goliath encounter. Will he find the gods? Will he find and free his family?

This is my first attempt at composing a mixed bag album.

Inspired by mystique sounds of Trent Reznor, H.U.V.A. Network, Carbon Based Lifeforms and Bass Communion, this track sets an aura for the album to follow.

Featuring the very talented Uttam Bhat on his Flute and vocals of a child prodigy called Hemant Brijwasi from an Indian reality TV show, Sound Horizon is folktronica that draws from British electronic artists likes of Ott, Shpongle and The Album Leaf.

Automaton is a proggy track inspired from the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead and Trioscapes. It tries to illustrate the recurrence of life, amidst the cycle of creation and annihilation.

Elements is based on the theme of the basic elements that constitute matter (Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Ether). It's a conglomeration of different styles, moods, genres to illustrate their differences.

Supernova is an experiment using Piano + Drums instead of traditional Indian classical instruments. It is based on the Khayal rendition in Hindustani Classical music where a performance is split into several sections - Alaap, Jor, Jhala, Gat and Drut. This track features a bandish I learnt from my Guru - Pandit Nayan Ghosh-ji and another one I learnt from my mother Smt. Nandini Mukherjee called 'Na bolo shyaam...'

Theia is a track inspired by stylistic elements from composers like Ludovico Einaudi and Vangelis.

Based on Raag Madhuvanti, this tune for Pangea is hard-hitting folk experimenting on various synth sounds.

34 Klezma is a cover from Snarky Puppy's 'Bring us the bright'. Original composition by BILL LAURANCE, an amazing track with, despite diverse influences, a whole lot of scope! Feels like having only scratched the surface here.
