* @julekploski has recently been making noise among the Polish experimental scene. Despite being only 23, he can already boast about taking part in various residencies, performing dozens of gigs, including one at UNSOUND (which described him as “being on the forefront of a new wave of very young electronic producers in Poland”), or founding an ever-fluid glamour.label.
Julek’s critically acclaimed debut album “Tesco” saw him shoplifting field recordings while hunting for discount groceries, then genuinely fusing them with bare elements of contemporary club music or IDM into ominous, industrial sound collages.
The second LP - “śpie” - released in Czech Gin&Platonic led the listener through extensive hypnagogia occuring during the onset of sleep, with all of its abrupt deflections one may eventually take while attempting to enjoy a quality rest.
He recently revealed “Human Sapiens Ep” (Pointless Geometry) - his clubby coming out, being a colorful, sparkling opera about trying to feel like a human in Poland.
Now, he’s working on his third, epic, orchestral LP for Orange Milk Records.

Doom Radio #36 - Julek Ploski

E B U (@e_b_u) is the solo music project of Bristol based artist Ella Paine. Her debut album 'Hinge' released on NoCorner in 2019 received critical acclaim; "A bold amalgam of avant-garde electronics, droning ambient and ultra-leftfield r'n'b" (Bleep). E B U's dynamic live show has also garnered high praise, "Disorientating, dissonant, but wonderfully compelling" as reported by Wire. With a strong repertoire of gigs under her belt, sharing the stage with the likes of Wolf Eyes, Moor Mother, Tami T, Oli XL and playing events such as BBC 6 Music Festival and London's Cafe Oto, her unique sound comfortably traverses genres and settings. E B U has hosted radio shows on Noods and 1020 with tracks being played out on NTS, Balamii and BBC 6 Music. A Boiler Room documentary called 'Keep Bristol Weird' focussed on key acts defining Bristol's current music scene, which featured E B U alongside Hodge, Giant Swan, Young Echo and many more. With other releases on Howling Owl and a recent collaboration with Mun Sing on Illegal Data, Paine is currently writing new material, which sees her music incorporate a more software driven contemporary club sound.
