German sound master; Purple Kaiser unveils his latest EP, 'Purple Cycles' on ICONYC, featuring two outstanding tracks to get you in the mood. The EP foundation is based on his years of continuously evolving his sound, as Purple Kaiser provides us with a master class of 2 original tracks.

On his full ICONYC debut Purple Kaiser gets us in the mood with the opening title track 'Purple Cycles'. A grooving melodic techno roller, fusing chord stabs with string ensembles and clinical percussion with a beautiful driving lead line. 'Purple Cycles' is a monster of a track, that is perfect for your club inspired evening entertainment and to get you in the mood for a big night out.

Next up Purple Kaiser drops the aptly named 'See the Lights'; this driving basslined winner, really hits all the right notes from the off, as he slams it home musically. Adding a few warm tinkling sounds, a squelchy edge and some nicely effected spoken sounding pieces, and we basically have the formula for a bit of a leftfield monster. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - this melodic monster will do nicely, thank you very much.

The EP is an accomplished piece of work that highlights, that he is a true masters of his craft. We're keen to welcome Identical with their first release on Einmusika. After two successful releases on our sublabel Fenestra the brothers from Birmingham are back with their typical signature sound. "Secrets" has an exciting detuned lead synth next to a deep and pulsating bassline. "Shadows" features a catchy vocal and a warm and melancholic progression. "Lapse" is laid-back and chilled with atmospheric vocal effects and wide pads.

Solid Stone’s Phenomena imprint welcomes THNK to the label for his debut EP entitled ‘Control The Night’. Much loved for his cross pollinated sound, the Dutch artist effortlessly melds progressive house and techno into his creations. It’s this unique blend, coupled with astute musicality that has made THNK a favourite amongst top tier DJs around the world. Now presenting his first original project of the year, THNK debuts on Phenomena with a hugely anticipated two track EP. 

In the midst of what has been a relatively quiet year the demand for new music from the Dutch artist is at an all time high. The title and showcase piece arrives at precisely the right moment and may be one of THNK’s finest creations to date. Electric in nature, it’s esoteric blend of tight beats, rugged design and uplifting melodic minimalism is both imaginative and poignant. It moves through acidic rhythms and a storyboard of cosmic effects, ultimately leading to a timeless musical theme, elevating the mood before getting washed away in favour of a stripped back re-entry.  

Equally stunning is the companion piece 'Mind Flayer'. Opening up with a punchy energetic groove, THNK’s finest production hallmarks are on top form here. Undeniably dramatic, it’s tonal tension is offset with meditative arps and emotive chord changes, while a vocal stab pierces the air at timely moments. The break represents the emotional core of the track, building in grandiose fashion as melodies open up, taking you on a wonderful ride before a wall of noise sparks a classy drop, maintaining the subtle brilliance of the piece. It's an exhilarating ride and a fitting end to a fabulous Phenomena debut for the Dutch artist.

"An accomplished artist with over 300 production credits, Katrin Souza made another indelible stamp on the progressive house scene in February 2019 with "A Dark Forest" on Droid9. As the Russian returns to Yin and Yang, the accompanying track, "Calm Before the Storm," receives remixes from Indonesia and Egypt.

An artist of Indonesian origin, Lily Pita has found herself on a rapidly rising upward trajectory. The Jakarta resident shot to notoriety with "Run Away" as part of the "Bedrock – Frequencies" compilation on John Digweed's label. A century of additional production credits have found themselves featuring on the likes of OLD SQL, ICONYC and Lauter Unfug, while a remix of Hot TuneiK's "Memories" in December 2018 was a notable highlight for Yin.

Now, the Lily Pita remix of "Calm Before the Storm" is an immaculately crafted affair that explores the themes inherent in Souza's work and expands on them with a raft of new melodic ideas. The changed key provides a darker edge to her track, as the lead motif from the original sparkles in new analogue majesty. Evolving effortlessly through metronomic beats and shuffling open hats, a running bassline builds in intensity into the third movement with open-filtered dynamism. The result is a highly impressive new interpretation.

Cyber Snïp began to produce his very first titles at the end of 2020, under various and varied influences, his creations are affected, he can create House as well as Techno or even Hard-Techno according to the inspiration and state of mind of the moment.
Jean Michel Jarre is the artist who made him discover electronic sounds in his childhood, then came House music in the 80s, then Dance in the 90s and gradually techno.
The evenings in discos made him discover the profession of DJ which fascinated him, but especially the one where they broadcast Techno
From time to time he frequented rave parties to listen to music that could be heard nowhere else at that time, the hard-techno sounds were for him a revelation about his musical future.
He started mixing at the end of 1999, then in 2002 he participated in a DJ Contest (Pionner DMC Contest 2002 Club House category) where he settled in 13th place.
From 2002 to 2004 he skims the discos with friends DJs with whom they founded the group "HOUSEKONCEPT" a trio of DJS where everyone had his style (DJ Natan mixed House, DJ Lüb was more oriented on Hard-house and DJ Cyber Snïp last mixed Techno)
At home he mixed a lot of Hard-techno to his great despair of not being able to share it for lack of discos specialized in this field.
2005 everything stops..., but despite everything, still the taste of electronic music, but it took 15 years even for him to resume a musical activity and this one is the production, he really hopes to give pleasure to the people who listen to him, in any case feels a lot of pleasure to create and does not want it to stop.

Cyber Snïp a commencé à produire ses tous premiers titres en fin 2020, sous influences divers et variées, ses créations s’en ressentent, il peut aussi bien crée de la House que de la Techno ou bien même de la Hard-Techno selon l’inspiration et de l’état d’esprit du moment.

Il débute le mix en fin 1999, puis en 2002 il participe à un Concours de DJ (Pionner DMC Contest 2002 catégorie Club House) où il s’installe à la 13 -ème place.
De 2002 à 2004 il écume les discothèques avec des amis DJs avec lesquels ils ont fondés le groupe « HOUSEKONCEPT » un trio de DJS ou chacun avait son style (DJ Natan lui mixait de la House, DJ Lüb lui s’orientait plus sur la Hard-house et DJ Cyber Snïp en dernier mixait de la Techno)
Chez lui, il mixait beaucoup de Hard-techno à son grand désespoir de ne pas pouvoir le partager faute de discothèques spécialisé dans ce domaine.
2005 tout s’arrête…, mais malgré tout, toujours le gout de la musique électronique, mais il aura fallu 15 ans tout même pour qu’il arrive à reprendre une activité musicale et celle-ci c’est la production, il espère vraiment donner du plaisir aux gens qui l’écoute, en tout cas  lui ressent énormément de plaisirs à créer et n’a pas envie que cela cesse.
