"Roger, better known as keyboard player in The Cure, has been one of the first interested in our music...and after our first album "Being A Grown-Up Sure Is Complicated", he kindly donated this remix to us; but it has never been released so far because we thought we'd lost it in a moving, so we just give it away now as a gift to you as well.

A lot of remixes have been made in the years but just a few were released...maybe one day we will collect them all in a deluxe box-set!  :-)

Something "Slow" for a change. Enjoy the remix for the first song from the latest Leonard Cohen album "Popular Problems", 2014. Canadian musician, poet and writer is 80 now (yes, the "Hallelujah" dude, the original author and singer). The new album is awesome! If you get lucky to see Cohen in your town, go to his concert. His golden voice is brilliant! My tribute to the Maestro.

Interesting facts on how Leonard Cohen and his producer Patrick Leonard collaborated on this song! which they co-wrote. Leonard sent a lyric via e-mail; Patrick sat down at the piano, and took half an hour to write the song. He recorded it in Logic and sent to Leonard a demo, on which he replied "Great!. Patrick played Fender Rhoders and even mixed sampled horns into the song! Same as how it happens here on the SoundCloud, right? :)

I love the song and liked the story so much, so decided to allow myself to butt-in into their collab. In my take I wanted to keep/make minimalistic and sorta dark-wave-ambient sound. I made shorter notes on my synths basslines, used a straight beat. The mix is done on Korg Gadget and also has a few strums I humbly recorded with my Fender Stratocaster.

Hallo zusammen!
Für unser nächstes Projekt haben wir, Klaus und ich einen Track gewählt für den es anfangs, keine rechte Struktur gab.
100 Prozent aus der Feder von
 Exblade Presented aka Klaus Schneider, (https://soundcloud.com/exblade_presented/100-prozent-ex-ambient) der sich als Ambient etablierte wurde von mir übernommen. Als einzelne Tonspuren zerlegt in seine
Einzelteile. Mit meinem Programm und in Absprache mit Klaus suchten 
wir uns einen Genre die total konträr zum Ambiet Track 100 Prozent ist.
Ich weiß nicht so recht ob das die rechte Wahl war, jedoch hat dieser 
Track wieder einen Heiden Spaß  gemacht und wir sind nun auf euch gespannt 
wie ihr uns idealistisch gegenüber steht und freuen uns über euer zahlreiches
werten und eure Kommentare.
