Fourth Release of KAWAZACAST- Dynamic Range x KAWAZAKI

Dynamic Range is a Swiss born DJ who developed his love for electronic music by organizing some of the wildest illegal raves in Geneva with his long time music partner "Nh". As a DJ, he is fast and fierce - he loves to be on both sides of the DJ Booth. He now travels regularly to play in his home country and has also played at great venues in Berlin such as Tresor, Griessmühle and Suicide Club.

Continuous Return (formerly known as Frida Carlo) grew up and got in touch with the “techno mindset“ in the Geheimclub Magdeburg 4 years ago. Now the 22 year old artist is hiding most of the time in his apartment in Berlin and trying to discover the mystic universe of sounds more deeply to create some meditative electronic journeys.

The second guest to join us on our UY Pride Podcast is local Berlin artist Lie Ning.

Growing up in Berlin, Lie Ning IG: @lie__ning was exposed to a mixture of languages, images and melodies from an early age on, creating an interest for dance, fashion and fine arts. Music especially. From early on his mother showed him a world of rhythm and melodies, which would never let go of him again. His voice emerged as the most powerful means of expression. Everything he couldn’t convey visually he wrote into songs.

Lie has been a long time friend of the studio, having worked on some early campaigns with UY in earlier years. When brainstorming the plan of our podcast at UY we immediately wanted to invite Lie to join. Within UY they are fondly spoken of and remembered for their kindness and realness. We felt they would be great to speak with as a artist having grown up in Berlin, as an activist and as a POC queer artist working within the music industry. 

In this podcast we sit down with Lie Ning to discuss Pride Month in Berlin. We discuss activism within the LGBTQI+ community, obstacles within the music industry as a queer artist, and their approach towards showing kindness to others.

Ada made her debut in 2019, having previously focused on organizing electronic events. She collaborated with various projects, including Projekt Pralnia, Sunday/Audioriver and the legendary club Das Lokal. She has performed at well-known venues such as Smolna, Cel, House, Sfinks, Tamka, and Ciało. Her passion for electronic music has grown over the years, and she carefully curated her selection, which came to light during one of the wild events she organized at Wrocław’s Transformator club on Tęczowa street.

With a deep understanding of the craft, she meticulously selects tracks to ensure a lively atmosphere when she takes the stage. Her performances are like an intense rollercoaster ride, skillfully building up energy and then delivering it with creatively constructed drops during wild breakdowns. She effortlessly weaves between dark, hypnotic sounds and a frenetic groove while maintaining a continuous progression to keep the audience captivated and never experiencing a dull moment. She has a genuine connection with the dancefloor, always seeking a harmonious symbiosis and drawing pleasure and energy from the enthusiastic crowd.

Losko is an Italian DJ based in Berlin, passionate about electronic music and a vinyl collector. His musical roots delve deep into the intersection of pulsating grooves and hypnotic sounds. Each set is a psychedelic journey through ever-evolving soundscapes, where groovy basslines merge with hypnotic melodies, creating a trance-like experience that leaves the audience in a state of total immersion. Before his move to Berlin, Losko went through a significant phase of his career. Music brought him to Bologna and Milan, where he immersed himself deeply in the club culture and freeparty scene.
