BIO:
Nora was born in Essen and raised in a small town near Münster in Germany. After her studies, she moved to Cologne in 2017.

Art has always been fascinating to Nora. She started to paint as a teen, and she's has been dancing since she was able to listen to music. In 2016 she fell in love with Techno and in 2020 she gave in to the irresistible call and found her place in the DJ booth.

Nora loves art that makes her smile even on the rainiest day. Her paintings are as colorful, bright and diverse as her sets. They come with a great variation across genres: melodic techno, bouncy tech house...deep and dark techno...melodic house, epic and dramatic peaks and valleys--all with her distinct flair.

3AM - is my weekly playtime during my residency at OXA Beach. 3AM marks the moment when those who came for entertainment begin to leave, and the ones who came for the music choose to stay. 3AM is the time when I can let myself go and play whatever I feel like.

This set was recorded on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. I was playing from 3 AM to 6 AM, closing the event. I had a lot of fun, starting with some older melodic and progressive tunes, transitioning into Indie Dance, Minimal Techno, and even some Tech House towards the end. What an exhilarating journey!

From the dance floor to the DJ-booth, VABU literally kickstarted into Hamburg’s Techno scene over the past six years. After collecting first DJ experiences at Bollwerk in her hometown Lübeck, she soon got involved with her crew ‚Harmonie im Bassgewitter‘ and played her first official gigs. 

Her sound describes her feeling to the music, in the meantime she founds what she loves and created an unique vibe, her sound is energetic and varied with driving spheres and deep melodies- she has several expressions to unfold, but it's mostly found in the subgenre Melodic House & Techno.

While playing throughout the clubs in Hamburg, she was quickly booked for venues in different cities in Germany as well as for festivals like Habitat, Feel Festival, Deichbrand, Pangea Festival and many more.
From this time forward VABU is a fixed part of the techno scene in Hamburg.
In the past she also had two asian tours in April 2019 and February 2020. 

VABU, with her nascent production career got her latest release published on the compilation by 'Perspectives digital' in February 2024 called "Space Division".
