This recording has a special place in my heart.

This show was the first Tool performance in 3 years, it occured on the day Lateralus was released 10 years ago today.  I remember avidly waiting for reviews and recordings of this show because I was heavily getting into Tool by that point, had heard a leaked Lateralus album a few days prior (probably grabbed off Napster).  So I was already familiar with and really loving The Grudge by that point.  This recording hit the net a few days after the show and it sounded as epic and incredible as I'd hoped it would.  They opened the show with this, so it really was the first Tool song live in 3 years.  I remember reading of massive trips people made to be at this show specifically, the venue only held a few thousand people and there was massive anticipation leading up to the show online.  I LOVE the moment at 2:58 when you hear the utter fucking joy that Tool is back and this is going to be incredible.  Great recording, great album, great song, great audience, great band.
