Trying to capture some live druming and piano in a house track...  since I can play the instruments I might as well 

stuck for ideas now... anyone got any suggestions (other than 'give up' / 'stick to your day job' / 'go fuck yourself' etc etc)????

This is a remix I am working on. It's not anywhere near finished yet - as you can hear it's still a bit raw. ...this is the first version. Might revisit that 19 minute tambourine solo at the end.

So I thought I would try and come up with some groovey lounge house. Two hours later I am left with what sounds like Sky Menu Music or something you would hear in the carpark of the market cross shopping centre.

Ugh. 

Anyway I hope you enjoy listening to it as must as I didn't enjoy making it. I hope you enjoy is every bit as much as my aspirations were crushed and every ounce of garnered creativity in my being was incinerated by the licking flames of blandness which burn hotter than the fire of a thousand suns every time my ears are tainted by this horrible horrible fucking elevator type, revenue freephone telephone number hold music style that i somehow managed to spit out of my musical work station.

Menu Music

Here's some original smee drumming recorded yesterday layered with some of my standard electronicey programmed stuff.  I think this is possibly the fattest beat i have ever produced. 

i am doing a remix at the moment. After I take that beat to weight watchers I'm going to make a track out of it! Stay Tuned!

I love the quirky, clever, original sound of Adebisi Shank. 
With this remix, I wanted to preserve their style, while at the same time giving it the V-Force treatment.... making it more electronic and clubby, so it could be dropped in DJ sets (my own or anyone elses!).
I really enjoyed doing this one, and I hope you enjoy it too.
