made this song in my kitchen, the snare is a recording of the gas oven in my house pitched down. the kick is me smacking a cupboard in my kitchen and i fucked with it a bit. the rain is actually a sausage sizzling in a pan layered and reverbed a bit lol. first clean sounding vocal i did in awhile, rest of the time i was spazzing on tracks i spaced out on this one

man 2017 was a year full of ups and downs for me, this was the first song i ever really spoke like this i really wanted this to be on my first ep but i could never hit the vocal correctly, after taking a shit load of drugs in 2016, 2017 was looking to be pretty similar, vital year for my sound tho, i think my songwriting became a lot more reflective and i started to use it kind of like as a therapeutic experience. this might've been one of the first tracks i recorded at 685 castle, i think jack, lloyd, finn and niwa were here when i recorded this. rotations in my room whilst i cooked this, had a questionable bar in there that jack told me to change (he smart like that)

the last track i cooked at my flat on castle, was with the bro jpec for this one who was down visiting with the bro dom, was a crack up time haha. i remember this night vivid tho the bro hooked it up with the reverb sauce i actually chopped and worked on the processing for this one when i got to australia. i reckon the production on this aged wellllllll. wish i still had the instru to this or the stems. the mumble on the second half actually goated (biased tho im my biggest fan haha) i was trippin ballllls when i mumbled this lol. got home to gg's parents at 4am after recording this and they were not happy at all lol.
